CD Sunday Plus Challenge #50 - Hosted by Me

Good Morning

Welcome to my blog today.

Today sees the start of our next challenge and this time I am our hostess.  This will be our last challenge for this year and I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very merry Christmas and the happiest of New Years.

Our theme is Anything Goes - as well as following the theme of the challenge, a CD, USB or Digital images, or any combination thereof, must have been used somewhere in the making of the card or project. It doesn’t have to be the whole card but it can be. It can be as small as perhaps a sentiment or a piece of backing paper- but there has to be some CD, USB or Digital source content somewhere together with everything else you have used. THE SOURCE MUST BE NAMED AND CREDITED.

Here is my card:

The pattern was a download from Stitchingcards.com.  Deep red card from Hunkydory along with gold card which I embossed using a star design embossing folder. The design was stitched onto Centura Pearl card.

I used Tumble Ted and Tizzy cd-rom from Creative Crafting World for the decoupage.  Kraft card from Creative Crafting World.  The dark green card is from Papermill. First Edition Alphabet dies for the wording and the sentiment is a Sue Wilson die.

I used dies and downloads from Carnation Crafts to make my card. The card base was created using one of the dies in the set and I used their 'elevate foam' behind the letters, numbers and decoupage layers.

I have used Downloads from Tattered Lace Magazine for images and backing papers.  Sports figures are die cut with First Edition dies.  Kraft card and card used for card base is from Creative Crafting World.

 I used Joanna Sheen's Nostalgia collection cd-rom for the images and backing paper.  The roses are die cut decoupage from Tattered Lace.  The die across the top of the image is from Crafters' Companion.  The sentiment die is from Paper Boutique (Creative Crafting World).

Portmanteau

 Hello

It's Taking Shape!

Hubby has started building my new craft room furniture and it's really starting to take shape now. Exciting!!

At The Bottom Of The Garden

 Hello and welcome

My card for today is made using one of the brilliant ranges from Carnation crafts and is for a friends birthday:

I used one of the dies in the set to create my card blank. I printed out a variety of the free vignettes that Carnation crafts generously provide,  then die cut and decoupaged the images before arranging them on my card.

I die cut the sentiment and it's mat using dies from Paper Boutique.

I would like to enter my card into the current challenge at Allsorts challenge  - my lovely garden.

Murphy

 I've just been updating my profile so decided this was the right time to write this post.

Two weeks ago we had to say goodbye to our crazy, adorable cocker spaniel Murphy. He was 15 1/2. He had a long and happy life with us, he was one of the family and put first in every decision we made. We got him when I became disabled and had to give up work.  Our house is very empty now.

Run free my sweet boy. You have left us with so many wonderful memories and your paw prints on our hearts for ever.

I've created a frame this time:

I used Woodland Folk and friends cd-rom from DoCrafts.  I printed everything onto Fabriano paper from Creative Crafting World.  All the layers are decoupaged using foam pads.  I typed out the names and die cut using a little banner die from Marianne.

Portmanteau

 The Portmanteau range is one of my favourite and most used ranges from Tattered Lace. This is another of the cards I have made with this range:

 

The card used is Woodstock from Creative Crafting World, I printed all the images onto Fabriano paper also from CCW, then cut them using the decoupage dies in the collection.

This card was a 'Thank You' card i sent to a friend.

I used ATC Assistant from Joanna Sheen for the backing paper and Gruffies and Happy Hoppers cd-rom, also from Joanna Sheen, to create the decoupage in the corner.

I used silver mirror card and blue glitter card, both from Create & Craft for my mats and layers.  The name was die cut using Hunkydory dies and the '21 today' using Carnation Crafts dies.  The musical embellishment across the top of the card was die cut with a Crafters' Companion die.

I used Vignette Downloads from Carnation Crafts together with dies from the Garden Safari range, also their background papers.  The card I cut my card shape from was Lynda Chapman's white card from Creative Crafting World.  The coloured card I used is Woodstock card also from Creative Crafting World.  The stamps were a combination of Crafters' Companion and freebies from a magazine.

Just because

Hello and welcome to my blog.

This is a card I sent to a friend to let her know I was thinking of her.

I've always been a big decoupage fan, previously I always cut it out by hand (and sometime still do).  This is of course very time consuming so I'm thrilled with all the new dies being released by Tattered Lace and Carnation Crafts which still allow me to do decoupage using their beautiful dies.

This is an 8 x 8 card from Lynda Chapman, and the coloured card used for the frames is Lynda's woodstock card.   All the flower and butterfly dies are from Tattered Lace's Portmanteau range, I love the detail in the designs.  The frames are from the Daisy Hill Picture Decoupage set.  The gems were from Joanna Sheen a long time ago!

I made a box to post the card in as it was and inch deep when finished.

A Special Birthday Wish

Hello

I'm now using the new blogger interface, it's very much trial and error for me just now!

My new craft room is now more or less decorated, now to plan the furniture! I'll be reusing what I can and then adding some of the shelving system from Ikea. I can't wait to be moved in! It's going to take a lot of sorting out but will be worth it that's for sure.  I've so much stuff I've not been able to use yet. Exciting times!!

This is a card I made for one of my fellow teamies at CD Sunday Plus.

I used the Jan Harbon cd-rom, Flowers in Bloom from Card Creations plus. I love the images on this cd. I fussy cut the images to create decoupage. I die cut the squares the  decoupage is sat on using some Sue Wilson dies.

The backing paper is from the cd-rom too and I embossed some card using a very similar embossing folder. I have a lot of embossing folders and really should use them more than I do!

The sentiment was stamped using a Phill Martin sentiment stamp.

I used Crafters Companion Kimono cd-rom.  The base card is a 7 x 10 card from Creative Crafting World.  I decoupaged the image and matted it onto silver mirri card and Lynda Chapman's famous black card. I also used one of the backing papers from the cd. Finally, I die cut my sentiment using dies from Tattered Lace.

Cuties In Booties - For A Challenge

Hello and welcome

One of my favourite artists is Bree Merryn.  I have a number of cd-roms featuring her artwork and I am eagerly awaiting the latest Christmas cd-rom from Creative Crafting World.

I wanted to make a card to send to a friend who isn't very well at the moment.  This is what I came up with:

I used the 'Cuties In Booties' cd-rom, from My Craft Studio.  I created a 6 x 6 card using a fancy edged card blank from my stash.  I used Lynda Chapman's Kraft card for all the mats, and printed everything onto CCW's Fabriano digital paper.  I raised the layers using foam pads and finished with some gems from my stash.

I would like to enter my card into the current challenge at Allsorts challenge which has a theme of 'So Cute'.

Father's Day

Happy Sunday

This is the card I made for my daughter's to send to my husband;

The image was printed from MCS fun and frolics cd-rom, onto Fabriano paper from Creative Crafting World.  The 8 x 8 card blank and all the card used was from CCW as was the backing paper. I die cut DAD using dies from Hunkydory and added the letters using foam pads.

A note to say ...

This card I made for a friend to say I'm thinking of them:

I used a landscape card from Creative Crafting World for my base.  The image and backing paper was printed from A Bree Merryn My Crafts Studio cd-rom (Precious Pups).  I used Lynda Chapman's Black and Kraft Card for all my mats and layers and the border die is a Paper Boutique die.  The sentiment and paw prints were stamped using Vintage Sepia Versamark ink and free stamps from a magazine.

I was really pleased with how this card turned out!

I used Beatrix Potters' Jemima Puddle-Duck cd-rom from Crafters' Companion to make my card.  The decoupage, backing papers and insert are all printed from the cd-rom.  I used an 8 x 8vcream card blank from Joanna Sheen, yellow card from PaperMill and gems from my stash.  The lettering was cut using dies also from Crafters' Companion.

Happy Anniversary

Hello

Today is my sister-in-law's Wedding Anniversary.  This is the card I have made for her:

I used Paper Boutique 'Love Conquers All' die set to create my card base and mat layer.  I printed the backing paper and flowers onto Fabriano paper from Creative Crafting World.  The flowers were created using Vignettes and dies from the Summer Daze collection from Carnation Crafts.  I decoupaged the flowers using foam pads.  The sentiment is a Sue Wilson die.

My new craft room is progressing slowly but surely.  I thought the idea of having an empty room to plan as I wished would make things easier, but I'm actually finding it all a bit mind blowing!  I'm very much looking forward to it all being finished and being able to use all my supplies.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge and some exciting news!

Good morning and welcome to my blog today.

Those of you who follow my blog may well be aware that the CD Sunday Plus Challenge has been a favourite of mine for a long time and one I always try to enter.  Well, I'm delighted to tell you that I am now a member of the design team! To say I'm thrilled is an understatement.

Today is my first challenge as part of the DT.  This time the challenge is histed by Jocelyn. The theme is Anything Goes using a CD/DVD-rom, USB or digital download and the source must be credited. All or just a small part can be from one of these sources.

Here is my card:

I used Tattered Lace Portmanteau usb and dies to create the decoupaged flowers and butterflies. The ovals are Tattered Lace South Field dies, the backing paper from Creative Crafting World, as is the cardstock - Lynda Chapman's woodstock card. A die cut sentiment and some gems completed my card.

Today's card is made using the beautiful Paper Boutique 'A Summer Garden' collection, together with a Paper Boutique doily die:

The little flowers were cut using dies from the same set and I finished the card with a matching insert.

Bree Merryn More Cuties In Booties

This is a second 'just because' card I made using my My Craft Studio Cuties In Booties

cd-rom. This time for a friend who loves pigs.

The backing paper is from the same cd. I used Lynda Chapman's woodstock card and cut the sentiment using a die from Crafters Companion.

Cuties In Booties

Welcome to my blog.

I was thrilled to learn one of my recent cards had been picked as the winner of a CD Sunday Challenge.

My card for today has been sent to a friend to let her know I'm thinking of her. I used one of the gorgeous images from my Bree Merryn 'Cuties In Booties' cd-rom. This is another cd I haven't used nearly enough!!

I used various elements from the cd-rom and silver mirror board for my mats and layers. Finally, I stamped a greeting.

I would like to enter my card into the current challenge at cd-sunday-plus-challenge which is Anything Goes.

I'm hoping that I may be able to move into my new craftroom before too long. I've got so many craft purchases I haven't been able to use yet, I'm hoping that it will all entice me back to more regular crafting!

Happy 80th Birthday

Hello and welcome to my blog today.

I hope you are staying safe and well during these scary times.  I am find it difficult to have any kind of routine, which is down to my illness as well as the pandemic. Some days it is difficult to find the motivation to do anything!  Anyway, enough of my complaining!

This card I made for a friend who turned 80 yesterday. I used Tattered Lace Picture Decoupage usb and dies to create the card. The cardstock was from Lynda Chapman and the sentiment cut with dies from Crafters Companion. I layered the decoupage with varying depths of foam pads.

I would like to enter my card into the current challenge at CD Sunday Plus.

Wishing You Well

Happy VE day. I hope you have an enjoyable day today and have some activities planned. A bit of a challenge I know while trying to stay safe, but we seem to be good at rising to challenges.

The card I am sharing today is one I made for my uncle so he knows we're thinking of him:

I made the card using elements from the Sweet Design British Wildlife kit from Create and Craft which I've noticed is on a show today.  I just added a 7 x 5 card blank and some gold mirri card to complete my card.

Happy Birthday Captain Tom

I saw a request early in April asking if cardmakers would send a birthday card to Captain Tom. This is the card I sent him:

The decoupaged image and backing paper were downloaded from Tattered Lace. The die used to cut the decoupage came free with April's Tattered Lace magazine.

The Happy Birthday edge was cut using a Crafters Companion die.  The numbers were cut using a die from The Works and his name using Memory Box alphabet die.

Miss You

I've been making cards to send to friends and family just to say hello during this difficult period. This is a card I send to my sister using decoupage and downloads from Tattered Lace:

I'm really pleased with how this came out, and even remembered to make a stand which I sent with the card.

Say it with flowers

Hello and thank you for visiting my blog.  My card today uses dies and a digital download from Carnation Crafts.  I love their dies and am building up quite a collection!

I used one of the dies in the set to create my csrd blank. The flowers are decoupaged as is the sentiment.  I die-cut the smaller lettering using dies from Hunkydory.

I'm really pleased with how this has turned out. It took quite a while to make, but I think it was worth it.
