Today I am sharing another Calendar I created, this time using my Faye Whittaker cd-rom by Joanna Sheen. 

I decoupaged the image and layered it onto some co-ordinating card.  I embossed another piece of the card using a Crafters Companion embossing folder.

This Calendar I made for a close friends mum, who has been a fan of Faye Whittaker's for a long time.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge # 94 - Hosted by Jocelyn

 Good morning

Like so many of us, I was deeply saddened to hear of the death of our Queen.  I have always been a fan and very aware, and appreciative, of everything she has done for us.

When it was her Platinum Jubilee earlier this year, I wanted to make a card to send.  I remembered this lovely image from Faye Whittaker's cd-rom by Joanna Sheen and created a decoupaged card.  I triple-matted the image onto red, white and then blue card and added some die-cut bunting which was cut from Centura Pearl card.

The sentiment was created in Word and printed in silver text.

I'm sure you can imagine my excitement when, a few weeks later, an envelope arrived from Buckingham Palace.  Inside was this card!

I will treasure the card (and the envelope) always.

CD Sunday Challenge - Second Entry - Let;s Hear It For The Boys

This is a Thank You card made for Emma's History teacher:

I don't do much stamping these days, but thought this was a good image to use to follow the theme of my card.  The background image is from Joanna Sheen's Faye Whittaker cd-rom, matted onto gold linen card, and the giraffe image and accessories are from a Joanna Sheen stamp set, coloured using Promarkers.  The sentiment is also stamped.

I would like to enter my card into the current challenge at CD Sunday.

Sun or Sand or Sea

It's time for a new challenge over at CD Sunday Challenge and the theme for this challenge is 'Sun or Sand or Sea'.  This immediately had me reaching for the Faye Whittaker cd-roms from Joanna Sheen. Here is my card:

I printed the backing paper from the cd-rom onto super smooth paper.  I printed the image a few times onto Super Smooth paper so I could create a decoupaged image.  This was then added to a frame cut from Core'dinations cardstock using a spellbinders die.  Finally I die cut the bunting and clouds and added these to complete my design.

Today is my birthday and I've had a lovely day.  I received lots of gorgeous cards, some lovely gifts and some fabulous new crafty goodies.  I'll be putting some candy up on my blog very soon.

My calendar for today uses one of Faye Whittakers gorgeous images by way of the decoupage sheets from Joanna Sheen:

8 x 8 easel card

Backing papers printed from a cd-rom (sorry I can't remember which)

Mat the image is sat on created using a Martha Stewart punch around the page punch.

Border strip created using a Die'sire border die and red gingham ribbon added.

Calendar tab is sat on a mat cut using a Marianne die.

Memorybox flourish die used.

Cheery Lynn mini fanciful flourish used and a Memory box die used to cut the flowers.

On Monday it's my parents wedding anniversary.  This is the card I have made for them:

Image from Joanna Sheen's Faye Whittaker cd-rom printed onto watercolour card and matted onto blue pearlescent card.

Backing paper from same cd-rom, printed onto Satin Finish printer paper.

Doily from Joanna Sheen.

Sentiment is Lili of the Valley stamped using Faded Jeans Distress Ink, matted onto a Spellbinders Persian die.

I created the little bouquet using flowersoft wires and Delphinium blue flowersoft, a Nellie Snellen punch was used to create the greenery and a heart shaped hat pin from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Mulberry paper was used to create the cone and a tiny ribbon, tied on my bow shaper, was added to complete the bouquet.

I'm pleased to say that the sun is back again today.  Even though I seldom leave the house these days, I do feel better when the sun is out.

Over at Willow Sketchie Challenge this week we have a super sketch to follow.  Here is my take on the sketch:

Good Evening

The current challenge at The CD Sunday Challenge has a theme of 'Toybox Treasures'.  I immediately thought of Joanna Sheen's Faye Whittaker cd-rom's and here is my card:

The image for my card is taken from the Teddies decoupage section and looks great when completed due to the very generous number of layers.  The backing paper is from the same cd-rom.  I inked around the edges of the backing paper with Fired Brick distress ink to blend it into the rest of the card.  I punched around a red square of card with a Martha Stewart punch around the page set, and attached the decoupaged image.

I tied a bow using my bowdabra and some lovely gingham ribbon.  I attached a teddy charm (from Pink Gem designs) to the centre of the bow using bakers twine.

Oh Christmas Tree

Hello!

I hope you've all had a lovely weekend.

My card for today is made using one of the decoupage images on Joanna Sheen's Faye Whittaker cd-rom:

For a bit of a change, I used one of my glitter girls embossing boards for this card.  I embossed both the red and gold layers and then layered them up.  The teeny little gems are midget gem frostings.  I printed the image onto matt photo paper and once I had completed the decoupage added some glamour dust to add that 'compulsory' Christmas sparkle.  The sentiment is Lili of the Valley, sat on a Memory Box die-cut.

Let's Celebrate

Good Morning

A very warm welcome to my new followers.

The current challenge over at Creative Inspirations is Let's Celebrate.  Here is my card:

This card is made using the new Faye Whittaker cd-rom from Joanna Sheen, and this is from one of the decoupage sections.  This is an anniversary card for my sister to send to mum and dad.  They celebrate their anniversary this Saturday.


I printed the decoupage onto matt photo paper and layered it onto gold mirror card.  The corners use a Spellbinders fleur de lis die.

I have been a fan of Faye Whittakers images for a long time, and have stitched many a design in cross stitch.  This double cd-rom is a real treasure trove of images, and I can see me using it over and over again.

I am also entering my card into the Anything Goes - Anything Goes Challenge.

All Together Now

Good Morning

My card for today is using another of the Faye Whittaker decoupage sheets from Joanna Sheen.

I used a white hammered card stock for the base, and matted onto this some pale blue backing paper. I added an eyelet to each corner which I threaded some 'chunky' thread through. The little flags were made from coloured card and a cocktail stick. The little shells along the bottom are from my stash.

I would like to enter my card into the Raise The Bar Challenge which is 'We "Shell"'.

Oh I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside

Good Morning

Come on, sing a long now, you've got the song going round in your head now haven't you? Sorry about that!

Today's card is made using one of Joanna Sheen's Faye Whittaker decoupage sheets. These sheets are a joy to work with.

I couldn't decide what to do for a background, so decided to add some ink to a sheet of silk art card, using my ink dusters, to extend the image further across the card. It's quite subtle, but I have to say I'm pleased with the end result.

The sentiment came on the decoupage sheet.

I'm sorry I've not visited other blogs as often as usual this week. I've had another of those sickness bugs which has of course had an effect on my pain medication, so it's been a tricky few days. Thank goodness for my laptop! Anyway I think the bug is now on it's way out so I just need to try and get back on top of the pain control. One step forward, two back.
