The CD Sunday Challenge - Cute Christmas

Cute Christmas is this weeks' theme over at The CD Sunday Challenge.  I combined the theme with the current sketch at Willow Sketchie Challenge to create my card:

A5 card blank.

Backing paper from Mulberry Wood cd-rom printed onto Satin Finish paper.

Image from decoupage section of same cd-rom printed onto Crafters' Companion Decoupage Paper.

Silver and green card used for matting and layering from stash.

Card Candy used to embellish.

Sentiment peel-off from stash.

This is the first time I have used this cd-rom and I have to say there are some very cute images on it.

This is my second post for today, whatever next? ;)

I've combined a few different challenges to come up with my card, and here it is:

I followed the sketch over at Totally Gorjuss for my layout.  I used the bingo challenge at TotallyPaperCrafts and I selected Blue, Die-cut and Flowers.  I used an image from Pollycraft and coloured her with spectrum noirs.  I made the flowers out of fabric to tie in with the current challenge at Pollycraft Challenge.

The backing paper for the card is from my stash.  The mat she is sat on is a Spellbinders die cut from Core'dinations card.  The decorative strip across the card is also Core'dination, embossed using a Darice Embossing folder available from Crafters Companion.  The flourish behind the flowers is also a Spellbinders die, cut from white card.

Cute as a Cupcake

My card for today uses one of the fabulous images from the Pollycraft, Swings and Slides range of digi stamps.

I printed the image onto Neenah cardstock and coloured her with a combination of Promarkers and Spectrum Noir pens.  I die cut the oval with a Nellie Snellen die onto Core'dinations cardstock, as a mat for her to sit on.  The backing paper is from Joanna Sheen's Daisy and friends cd-rom, matted onto the same card.

I took a double edge satin ribbon in pink, and placed a narrow red satin ribbon down the centre.  Two red flower buttons were added to finish my card.

Crafty Calendar Challenge - Love and Marriage

Good Morning

Don't the months pass by quickly?  Today see's a new challenge over at Crafty Calendar Challenge and this month our theme is Love and Marriage with the option of lace and pearls.   This month we are sponsored by the lovely Heather Ellis, and my card uses one of her digi stamps.

I used a 6 x 6 scalloped card blank to which I added a lovely swirly vellum, punched along the bottom with a Martha Stewart border punch.  The mat the gorgeous image is sat on was cut using a Nellie Snellen die.  The image is coloured with a mixture of promarkers and spectrum noirs, and some stickles glitter glue was added to the flowers.

The three flowers are printed from the La Pashe 'The Big One' cd-rom from the Build a Blossom section.  These were layered up and some pearls added to the centres.  The ribbon was from my stash.
