Today see's the start of a new challenge over at CD Sunday Challenge Plus

This is our last challenge for 2024!  That year has certainly flown by!

Here is my card for this challenge:

For my card this time, I have used one of my much-older (and hardly used) cd-roms, A Walk In The Countryside From Creative Crafting World.  I used one of the pyramade images and the accompanying backing paper.  I die cut the frame around the backing paper using Teardrop & Sweep dies from Carnation Crafts.  The sentiment was die-cut using Paper Boutique dies.

It has been lovely visiting all your blogs and seeing all your wonderful creations again this year.  I hope you will continue to join in our challenge for a long time to come.

I wish you a very happy & peaceful Christmas and hope you get to enjoy some time with family and friends.  Also, every good wish for a very happy & healthy 2025.

My card was made using Debbi Moore's Venetian cd-rom and the image is decoupaged.  I didn't want to detract from the lovely image on this card, so didn't add anything extra.  I simply placed the image on a fancy edged card blank.

Once again I used the Gruffies & Happy Hopper cd-rom from Joanna Sheen to make this easel card.  I printed the image multiple times so I could turn it into decoupage.  The backing paper is from the same cd-rom.

Today see's the start of a new challenge over at CD Sunday Challenge Plus

This is the birthday card I made for my daughter's recent birthday.

This card took a long time to make but I had such fun making it!  All the images are from Carnation Crafts garden safari, cut with the matching dies.

I used acetate to attach the fences.  I love the dog hiding behind the gate!  I made him as decoupage, and when the gate is closed, his nose peeps through!

The sentiments are all Carnation Crafts stamps.

For my card today, I have used Teardrop and Sweep dies from Carnation Crafts for the mats and layers.  The flowers and decorative panels are cut using dies from Dawn of Spring collection.  The bride and groom are a Creative Expressions die and the sentiment is a Carnation Crafts stamp.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge # 141 - Hosted by Me

 Good morning and welcome to my blog

Today see's the start of a new challenge over at CD Sunday Challenge Plus and this time I have the pleasure of hosting.

It has been a busy month in my household.  My hubbie turned 60 this month and back in March I had the 'clever' idea of arranging a surprise 60th birthday party.  Some close friends and family agreed to help, so it was all systems go.

We somehow managed to keep it a surprise and had a really lovely day with lots of close family and friends.  Lots of special memories made.

My card for this challenge is a birthday card I made for my godson.  It was a challenge I can tell you!  Anyway, I got there in the end and this is the result.

I used Kraft card to create the card as it needed to be strong, eventually worked our the mechanism to make it move, and then added lots of images printed and cut using planes, trains and automobiles from Carnation Crafts Wonderful World Collection.

I'm pleased to say he loved his card and was very impressed with it.

For my card this challenge I used One Summer's Day cd-rom by Barbara Mock from Joanna Sheen.  Matted onto blue card from Creative Crafting World, the letters were die cut from the same card.  The image is decoupaged, although this doesn't shop up very well in the photo.

House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge

 Good morning

I'm back from a lovely week away.  Yesterday was my hubbies 60th birthday.  We had lots of callers and our daughters came round for their tea.  I made his favourite cake - chocolate with galaxy melted on the top!  There are more celebrations planned for the weekend.

It was a friends birthday the other day, so I decided to use a house-mouse image for her card.  I hadn't made a shaker card in ages, and thought this image lent itself to a shaker card!

The image and backing paper are from Joanna Sheen's house-mouse cd-rom.  I cut an aperture into some purple card and again into the backing paper.  Sugar strands were added as the shaker element, then I created some little party hats from the backing paper and some streamers from a toning yellow paper.

I would like to enter my card into House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge - Anything goes with the option to add a butterfly.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge # 139 - Hosted by Carol

Good morning and welcome to my blog

When this post goes live, I will be staying in Lourdes, France, so I hope that Mr Blogger has co-operated!

Today see's the start of a new challenge over at CD Sunday Challenge Plus

I used one of my 'little used' cd-rom's to create this card - A Country Life by Morgan Fitzsimmons from Crafter's Companion.

The image is decoupaged, there are quite a few layers but I'm not sure you can tell that from the photo.  I matted the image onto some green and pink card stock and die cut the sentiment using Crafter's Companion sentiment dies.

This card was for some friends of ours who recently moved home.  I was really touched when they said it was the nicest New Home card they received.

I'm still sorting through the mountain of craft products I've purchased over the years.  I've recently sorted and labelled all my dies (that was a mammoth task), and I'm now sorting through my stamps.  I feel (hope!) the end is in sight and will post some photos when it's all completed.

For my card today I've used decoupage and backing paper from Benjamin Bunny cd-rom by Crafters' Companion.  The letters were cut using Carnation Crafts Alphabet dies and the tiny feet are a Sue Wilson die.

I don't know about you, but I'm so sick of this rain.  Will it never end?  Extra crafting time I suppose (always got to find the positives!).

This gorgeous kingfisher image, and the backing paper, are from Pollyanna Pickering's Sketchbook collection.  I kept my layers simple with black and white card and then simply added the tiny orange buttons, to pick out the orange in the kingfishers.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge # 134 - Hosted by Meg

 Good morning and welcome to my blog.

I hope that you are getting some sunshine in between all the rain!  Doesn't it make you feel so much better when the sun is shining?

I am still slowly sorting through all my craft supplies!  I'm determined to get it all done!  My current project is sorting through and labelling all my dies.  It's quite some task!

I've recently introduced a close friend to crafting and am sorting out some craft supplies that I can pass on.  It gives me so much pleasure that these items will be used.  I'm also regularly sending crafty items to a Children's hospice, and of course, I continue to fundraise for Guide Dogs in memory of my parents.

Today see's the start of a new challenge over at CD Sunday Challenge Plus.  The advantage of sorting out is that you find stuff you forgot you had and are able to put them to good use.

My card for today was made for my teamie, Carol's birthday.

I used charisma and dies from the Portmanteau collection from Tattered Lace, which is my favourite collection.  The oval frame was die cut using Teardrop and Sweep dies from Carnation Crafts - which have been my only crafty purchase in a long time - I love them!

The banner the sentiment is sat on is a Spellbinders die, and the sentiment was cut using Hunkydory dies.  Pearls from my stash were added to complete the card.

We actually have sunshine here in Manchester!  Doesn't a bit of sun make you feel so much better.  Bailey is finding it a bit warm at the moment and is booked in for 'a short back and sides' next week.  In the meantime, he has his own little den in a shady spot in the garden and is enjoying lots of iced water!

For my card today I have used artwork from Paper Boutique USB IX, Bumblebee Dance collection:

This is one of my favourite and most used collections from Paper Boutique.  I love the delicate colours and beautiful images in this collection.

I used dies from Paper Boutique to cut the mats and frames on my card and added a co-ordinating strip to finish off.

A co-ordinating insert from the collection was then added to the card.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge #130 - Hosted by Jocelyn

Good morning and welcome to my blog.

The clocks have now gone forward and the mornings will be much lighter now.  I'm an early riser so glad of this.  We've had a bit of sun in between the rain here in Manchester, I always feel so much better when the sun is shining!

I've almost completed my major ribbon sort out!  Phew!  Next job is to sort through and catalogue all my dies.  Another big job but will be well worth the effort.

 My card was made using elements from the Spring Whispers collection, Paper Pantry Volume VII usb from Creative Crafting World.  It's a beautiful collection.

I used card from PaperMill for my mats and layers and textured gold card from Create & Craft for the die-cuts.  The flowers I made from a lightweight paper, finished with a bow.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge # 129 - Hosted by Margaret

 Good morning and welcome to my blog

Today see's the start of a new challenge over at CD Sunday Challenge Plus

I make so secret of the face that me and February don't get along!! However, this year my February had the best start when my youngest daughter passed her driving test.  Due to the knock-on effects of covid, she had to wait over 6 months to take her practical driving test.  I'm super proud to say she passed first time!  She now drives down a busy motorway to and from work every day, has driven to Lancaster to see her uni friends, given me lifts places.....there's no stopping her now!!

This is the card I made for her:

The pattern was a download from stitchingcards.com, stitched in metallic thread.  The sentiments were cut using Crafters' Companion dies and I added gems to represent traffic lights for a bit of fun.

I printed the insert from a My Craft Studio Click Print Go Simply Sentiments cd-rom.  I've always called her my Super Stat so this was a perfect insert.

Happy 60th Birthday

 Hello

A friend of mine turns 60 this week. He has a cat so I decided to use this super cute image from Joanna Sheen's House-Mouse triple cd-rom:

I turned the image into decoupage and then matted it onto grey adorable scorable. I cut some brown adorable scorable along the edges with a paw print punch and die-cut the sentiment from matching card, matted and layered onto the card using foam pads.

Signs of Spring

 Hello again

Get me....2 posts in a day!!

A friend has her 65th birthday this week, and as she is a big animal lover I knew I couldn't go wrong with a Happy Hoppers image.  I made it to fit in with the new challenge over at House-Mouse & Friends which is 'Anything Goes With The Option Of Wet/Dry Embossing.

I'm a big lover of bees (I have one tattto'ed on my arm!), and just couldn't resist this delightful image.  The image is decoupaged and then I used my new Carnation Crafts dies to cut out the hexagons.  I then ran the yellow layer through again using my favourite Spellbinders double-sided embossing folder.  I then used some of the smaller Carnation dies to cut out the mats and layers for the sentiments.  The sentiment dies are from Hunkydory and the number dies are from Crafters' Companion.  Finally, I added some pearls from Hunkydory.  The base card is an 8 x 8 from Creative Crafting World.

I saw my first bumble bee of the year yesterday.  It was a huge 'fluffy' bee, sat on my garden wall having a rest.  Spring is definitely on it's way and I'm sat on my settee in the sunshine typing this post, with Bailey sunbathing next to me!

Inspired to Dance

 Good Morning

There is a new challenge over at Inspiration Station and I was in desperate need of some inspiration for a birthday card for a friend.  This is the photo to inspire us:

It made me immediately think of dancing and as a result I made this card:

The friend I've made the card for is a huge fan of Strictly and dances herself, so I thought this was a great image to use.  The pattern is from Stitchingcards.com, stitched using metallic threads and then matted onto some pearlescent purple card from my stash.

I'm progressing slowly but surely with my craft room sort-out!  I'm currently trying to sort my ribbons and wish I didn't have so many!!  I'll be so glad when it's all done, and I can find everything and just go in there and craft away!

I decoupaged the image and layered it onto some co-ordinating card.  I embossed another piece of the card using a Crafters Companion embossing folder.

Valentine's Card

 Good Morning

Today I have been naughty.  After not buying any crafting items for months, my will power was beaten!  I ordered a new set of dies from Carnation Crafts.  They're really pretty and I know I will get lots of use out of them!

My card for today is the card I have made my hubby for Valentine's Day next week.  On the 9th February it will be 38 years since we started going out together!

I followed the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches and got further inspiration from Inspiration Station - it inspired me to use items from my Kanban 'Love Your Pets' collection for this card.

I used an EK punch to create the border and added Peel Offs.  The little bones were die cut from little snippets of black card with dies from Creative Crafting World, and the hexagonal mats they're sat on are also dies from CCW, cut from snippets of silver mirror card.

I added a matching insert to complete the card:

CD Sunday Plus Challenge #126 - Hosted by Pamela

 Good Morning

Today is an exciting day for us at CD Sunday Plus, not only because it's our first challenge of 2024, but it's the first for our new teamies!

My first project of the year I have to share with you is a desk calendar:

I used my Bumble & Buddies cd-rom by Bree Merryn from Creative Crafting World.  I'm a big fan of Bree's artwork, and, as those of you who know me will know, I'm also a big fan of bees!

I heat embossed the image four times with Ultra Thick Embossing enamel to make it look like a tile.  The backing paper is from the same cd-rom, as are the coloured papers.  I added some craft card.  All the dies used are from Creative Crafting world.

I used an 8 x 8 card blank to create the calendar and added a Calendar tab and post-it pad to finish off!

I made quite a few of these to share with family and friends, a few more are displayer below!

Sorry You're Feeling Under The Weather

 Hello

A friend of mine has been unwell lately so I wanted to send her a card to let her know I was thinking of her.  I decided to use an adorable Happy Hoppers image, and follow the current challenge over at House-mouse & friends Monday challenge which is ANYTHING GOES - OPTION "USE TOUCHES OF "SILVER and or GOLD"

Here is my card:

I chose to decoupage the image and matt onto silver mirror and then lilac card.  The backing paper is from Joanna Sheen's Gruffies and Happy Hoppers cd-rom, as is the decoupage and sentiment.  I added a couple of dew drops and some toning ribbon.  A butterfly charm was then added to complete the card.

With Sympathy

 Hello

Sadly, I needed to make another sympathy card this week, and turned to Tuesday Morning Sketches for some inspiration. Here is my card:

I used the beautiful dandelion head stamps from Clarity crafts, stamped in Antique Linen, Vintage Paper and Wild Honey distress ink, stamped onto an Ombre paper pad from Hobbycraft. I tied a double bow with some ribbon from my stash, then added a stamped sentiment on a snippet of spare card to finish.
