Happy Anniversary

On Monday it's my parents wedding anniversary.  This is the card I have made for them:

8 x 8 fancy-edged card blank from Cupcakecrafting

Silver mirror card from stash

Image from Joanna Sheen's Faye Whittaker cd-rom printed onto watercolour card and matted onto blue pearlescent card.

Backing paper from same cd-rom, printed onto Satin Finish printer paper.

Doily from Joanna Sheen.

Sentiment is Lili of the Valley stamped using Faded Jeans Distress Ink, matted onto a Spellbinders Persian die.

I created the little bouquet using flowersoft wires and Delphinium blue flowersoft, a Nellie Snellen punch was used to create the greenery and a heart shaped hat pin from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Mulberry paper was used to create the cone and a tiny ribbon, tied on my bow shaper, was added to complete the bouquet.

Backing papers are printed from SWALK 2 cd-rom onto Satin Finish Printer paper.

Patchwork Julie

This weeks challenge over at Willow Sketchie Challenge is a choice of a sketch to follow, sparkle and shine, or both.  I've gone with both and here is my card:

6 x 6 card blank.

Backing paper printed from SWALK cd-rom onto pearl paper and edged with Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

I stamped Julie with London Fog memento ink for a softer look, and coloured her with Coloursoft pencils, blended with baby oil.  Her wings have been glittered for extra sparkle.  She is sat on a mat cut with a Spellbinders die from lilac glitter card.

The little dog, patchwork squares, flowers and star and stamped and coloured with the same mediums.

The ribbons are from my stash, tied on the bowdabra, and then little silver charms are added using purple metallic cord.

Good Morning

My card for today is one I have made for my brother-in-laws birthday.  He lives up in the Highlands and loves to go cycling, so hopeful he will like my card:

My card is made using photo inspiration from CRAFT Challenge and follows the sketch over at Sketch and Stash.

I stamped a number of different stamps from the Hobby Art Scene-it sets, In The Country and British Countryside.  The In The Country set have been rather neglected!  I stamped onto watercolour card using Versafine inks.  I coloured the image using Lyra Aquacrayons. The image is then matted onto pearlescent and Core'dinations card.

I embossed some co-ordinating card using embossing folders and then sanded the card slightly.  I also distressed all the card edges.  The flourishes are cut with spellbinders die, as is the sentiment tag.  I added the bicycle charm with bakers twine as he loves to go cycling.

Christmas Penguins

Good Morning

I am determined to work my way through my un-inked stamps, and here is another that has been used for the first time:

I love this stamp and it was a lot of fun to colour in.  I'm sure I'll use this much more.  I coloured the image using coloursoft pencils blended with baby oil.

I followed the sketch over at Jingle Belles.  The backing paper came free in a magazine.  The ribbon was saved from a Christmas Cake!  I can't resist but keep all bits of ribbon and twine from wrapping, it's such a waste just to throw them away.  The border is cut with a Memory box die and the other die cuts are spellbinders.

An Elegant Lady

Good Afternoon

I thought I'd share another calendar with you today, I hope you're not fed up of seeing them!

This is made using Joanna Sheen's ATC cd-rom, this was one of the first craft cd's I ever bought.  The backing papers are also printed from the cd-rom.  I decided on an easel style again as I think they display really nicely.  I used brown and gold cardstock for the matting and layering.  The calendar is sat on a mat cut using a Marianne die.  The butterfly is also a Marianne die with some pearls in the centre.  The roses and leaves are once again a Marianne die.

An Apple A Day

Good Afternoon

The current challenge over at House Mouse and Friends Challenge is 'Let's Get Fruity' and this is my card for the challenge.

This card, of course, features a Happy Hopper and the card is made using a decoupage sheet from Joanna Sheen.  The backing paper is printed from the House Mouse inserts cd-rom, again from Joanna Sheen, and a lovely warm yellow linen card is used for all the matting.  Green gems in varying sizes are added to complete the card.

Father's Day Card

Hi

I'm going to make this short and sweet as these antibiotics are knocking me out and I just want to sleep!

This is the fathers day card I've made for my dad. He openly admits he can fall asleep at the drop of a hat, so this image just had to be for him!

Teddy Bo is coloured using pencils. The backing paper is from my stash. The mat behind the image and the die-cut embellishments are cut using Spellbinders Fleur de Lis dies. The oblong mat is embossed using a Sizzix embossing plate.

Oriental Lofty

Good Morning!

Happy Saturday, I hope you are well.

Yesterday I had a visit from some friends who I haven't seen for quite some time. It was lovely to see them all. We exchanged belated birthday presents, and as they know of my love of giraffes, my presents included some gorgeous giraffe pyjamas. I want to send them a thank you card, so last night sat down and created this card.

I'm ashamed to say I've had this lofty stamp set for a long time and it has barely been used. It seemed very appropriate for the card.

All the images are from the same stamp sheet and were coloured with Lyra's. The lovely backing paper is from Joanna Sheen's Eastern Treasures cd-rom, and I printed it onto pearlescent paper.

I really like this style of card but find it really difficult to make. I coverred it with the backing paper and then added a punched border, made using a Martha Stewart punch. The frame is a Marianne die cut from gold mirror card.

Teddy Bea Among The Flowers

Good Morning

I've been out this morning woo hoo!!! We've all been up to the dentist for our 6 month check. I'm in so much pain now, with getting in and out of the car, the wheelchair, the dentist chair! Murphy is sulking big time, he always sulks when I've been out. I keep telling him I've not been out having fun, but will he believe me? Well the look on his face says it all.

With a bit of look he'll have forgiven me by weekend!!!!

Anyway, onto today's card. This is my latest purchase from Teddybo.com, mind you it is Teddy Bo Tuesday and there are some adorable new releases out today, so I could well be adding to my collection :D. I LOVE colouring in these bears (you may have noticed lol).

Here is Teddy Bea wearing a beautiful necklace she has made from flowers. I couldn't resist this backing paper, I thought is went so well with all the flowers, and is also very sweet. The mat she is sat on is die-cut using a Nellie Snellen die. The ribbon border is a Marianne die, as is the butterfly which is made using glitter card. The flowers are from my stash and the leaves are cut using a woodware punch.

Teddy Bea is once again coloured in using pencils. I decided this time that she could wear a red dress and hat, to pick out the colours of the ladybirds in the backing paper. I put her on the mat using glue gel to add further dimension to the card.
