The current challenge over at Teddy Bo is black, white and one other colour.  I combined this with the Sketch challenge at Try It On Tuesday to come up with my card:

Digi stamp printed onto Neenah card and coloured using Coloursoft pencils and Spectrum Noir pens.

Gingham backing paper from stash.

Card from Create and Craft embossed using a Darice embossing folder from Crafters Companion and sanded slightly, distressed around the edges with a distressing tool.

Mat Teddy Bea is sat on is Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles.

Flowers are a Memory Box die, centres are a punch and pearls from my stash.

Nellie Snellen punch used to create the leaves.

Gingham ribbon from my stash, tied using a bow shaper.

My card for today features one of my favourite bears, Teddy Bo, here he is relaxing on a Sunday afternoon.

8 x 8 card blank

Backing papers and cards all from my stash along with the silver 'mesh', bakers twine and button.

I printed Teddy Bo onto Neenah cardstock and coloured him using Spectrum Noirs in colours to tie in with the backing papers.

The mat the image is sat on is cut using a Spellbinders Labels 5 die, and I cut a faux nestie from bronze pearlescent card.

You're A Star Teddy Bo

The current challenge over at Teddy Bo is Let's Celebrate.  I think nothing says 'Celebrate' quite like stars! Here is my card:

6 x 6 card blank

Teddy Bo is printed onto Neenah card, coloured with coloursoft pencils blended with baby oil.

Spellbinders label die used to cut around Teddy Bo and a mat then created from Core'dinations card.

Backing paper from making cards magazine, inked around the edges with Aged Mahogany distress ink.

Co-ordinating backing paper cut with a Marianne star ribbon die and burgundy organza ribbon threaded through.

Central strip created with a Martha Stewart border punch from pearlescent gold paper.

Stars created from matching card using a Die-namics die.

Sentiment is a Wild Rose Studio stamp using Aged Mahogany ink.

I hope you've enjoyed the Easter Weekend.

The current challenge over at Teddy Bo Challenge is Spring has Sprung.  Here is my card:

As soon as I saw this image at Teddy Bo and Co I knew that resistance was futile, I LOVE giraffes!

The image is coloured with Spectrum Noirs, Promarkers and Coloursoft pencils.  This was matted onto some gold linen then yellow card.  I embossed some Core'dinations card using a Darice woodgrain embossing folder and then sanded it slightly.  This was then matted onto black cardstock.  I punched a strip of Core'dinations with my Martha Stewart rabbit punch, then created the flowers using various floral punches and 'typical' spring colours.

I took an 8 x 8 card onto which I matted the adorable backing paper which was from a Making Cards magazine.  I used an EK success punch on some cream and pale blue paper and used the outline from the cream and butterflies from the blue, to produce the decoration for the top corner.

I couldn't leave out Teddy Bo and Bea so they are 'hiding' on the inside of my card:

I took a second 8 x 8 card to create the middle and lined it with Embossed Core'dinations card for the tree trunk and owl backing paper for the sides.  The pansies are Build A Blossom from La Pashe.

Teddy Bo Just For You

Good Evening

The current challenge over at The Teddy Bo Challenge is 'menu choice'.  Here is my card:

I chose the menu options Blue and Cream, Flowers, Stitching and a Charm.

Teddy Bo is coloured using Spectrum Noir pens.  He is sat on a mat cut from Core'dinations card using a Spellbinders die.

The backing papers are Bo Bunny, free some time ago in a magazine, stitched onto the card using a stitch I've never used before!

The floral decoration in the top corner is cut using the new Persian accents and motifs dies from Spellbinder.  The butterfly charm is added using bakers twine and a gold brad.

The flowers and flourishes are all cut using various Marianne dies, finished with tiny gems.

Happy Bea-irthday Megan

Good Morning

Today is my niece's birthday and I wanted to make her more of a keepsake than a card this year.  With the help of Teddy Bea here is what I made:

I'm sorry about the quality of the photos, the light is very poor here this morning.

Using my new MCS cd-rom, I imported the lettering from a Crafters Companion cd.  I then selected the images I wanted to use and cut round them all using the new scissors tool. I then re-sized the letters and images to suit and added an image to each letter. I printed them all out on Neenah cardstock and then coloured all the images using coloursoft pencils, blended, as usual, with baby oil.

I added a small dimensional butterfly to the letter M.

I added ultra fine glitter to the moon on this image, but I didn't spread the glue evenly as I wanted to try and create the surface of the moon. 

This is one of the first digi stamps I purchased and still one of my favourites.  I added a balloon embellishment from my stash to this one, threaded through her hand to secure in place.

I added eyelets to each of the letters for extra strength, and then attached them to each other using bakers twine.

Teddy Bea Sitting Pretty

Good Evening

The current challenge over at Teddy Bo and Co is to use your birthstone.  My birthday is in February, therefore my birthstone is Amethyst which could perhaps explain my liking of purples.  I have been busy making calendars, and I have made this one to tie-in with the challenge:

Teddy Bea is coloured with Coloursoft pencils, blended using baby oil. The mat she is sat on is cut using a Spellbinders die, matted onto core'dinations cardstock which I have distressed with a sanding block.  Distress Inks in Milled Lavender and Dusty Concorde are used round the edge of the image to take away the starkness.

The gorgeous papers are printed from one of the SWALK cd-roms (sorry I can't remember which one), I printed them onto Crafters Companion satin paper, as recommended by my lovely blogging friend Edna, you get such fantastic results with this paper.

The calendar tab is sat on a mat cut with a Mariannes die from core'dinations card, again I distressed this with a sanding block.  The flourishes are also a Marianne die from silver mirror card.  The flowers are Nellie Snellen punches, with a co-ordinating pearl in the centre.

Time For Tea Teddy Bea

Good Evening

As soon as I saw Nela's fab project over at Teddy Bo & Co I knew it was a perfect make for a friend of mine.  Here is my finished project:

The paper I've used on the teapot is from a previous Making Cards magazine and I went round all the edges with Milled Lavender distress inks.  Teddy Bea is coloured with coloursoft pencils and distress inks, and the pattern on the cup is made using a teeny-weeny stamp.  The sentiment is computer generated.  The mat Teddy Bea and the sentiment are sat on are Spellbinders Labels 22 and this is the first time I have used them.  Little gems were added to complete the design.

I'm Back With Teddy Bea!

Good Afternoon.

Thank you to everyone who sent me good wishes for my trip.  I had a fabulous time and have come back feeling much stronger mentally.  Physically, it is taking me longer to recover, as I knew it would.  I have updated my blog header to a photo of the same view taken whilst I was there this time.  It really is such a special place to stay.

Emma's best friend celebrates her birthday next week, and my card for today is the one I have made for Emma's friend.  I was struggling to get started, and luckily found a sketch over at Fetch A Sketch which got me started!

The image is a Teddy Bea image from TeddyBo.com.  The papers are from a previous issue of Making Cards magazine.  The stars are die-cut into co-ordinating card stock using a die-namics die.

Fairy Bea

Good Evening

I'm back with another card for today, this time featuring the gorgeous Teddy Bea.

Teddy Bea is coloured using coloursoft pencils.  She is then matted onto silver glitter card and lilac pearlescent card cut using a Martha Steward PATP.  The flowers are die cut using a Nellie Snellen die, and then a tiny lilac gem added to the centre.  The sentiment mat is a spellbinders floral die, with peel-offs in the centre.

Teddy Bea Is Two

Well, actually, my little niece is about to be two, but you get my meaning!!!!

You can't tell from the photo, but the number is cut from double-sided card, lilac on the outside, pink on the inside.  The lovely Teddy Bea is coloured with coloursoft pencils, isn't she gorgeous?  The wording was stamped using Dimension Fourth Krystal Tips stamps in Distress ink and heat embossed using detail clear embossing powder.  The silver stars are also stamped and heat embossed in silver detail embossing powder.

I was over the moon this week to learn that I was one of the runners up for the previous challenge.  I'm sure you all know how much I love these teddies so it was such a delight to win.  Thank you ladies :o)

Teddy Bea Shines

Good Afternoon

The current challenge over at Teddy Bo is to make 'Anything But A Card', so I decided to make a candle!!  With a matching gift box of course.

 

I made the candle using paraffin wax and a large pillar candle mold.  I then printed Teddy Bea onto tissue paper 3 times, glittered her wings and then carefully applied the images to the candle.  Tiny gems were added at random to the candle.

For the box I printed Teddy Bea twice and again glittered her wings, I made up the box with an acetate front panel so the candle is visible.

One of Emma's teachers loves candles, so I decided that this would be a good end of term present for her.  I needed a matching card of course!!!!

The card is made using Teddy Bea decoupage.  The stars are my new stacking stars die-namics dies from Dies To Die for.  The flowers are Marianne dies as are the leaves.  The sentiment is LOTV.  The star punch is Martha Stewart.

Thank You Teddy Bea

Good Evening

I hope you've had a good day.  I've been glued to the tv quite a bit today watching the lovely Jayne Nestorenko launch her new stamp range.  Aren't they beautiful.  I had to place a 'little' order and will be building up the set over time.  Very naughty I know but what's a girl to do?

My card for today features my favourite teddy.  I was brought a lovely bouquet of flowers the other day and wanted to send a thank you card.  I realised that I hadn't yet used this Teddy Bea image so quickly rectified that!!!

Teddy Bea is coloured with pencils.  The teacup is paper pieced and then the image is placed onto a spellbinders label die.  The sentiment (which is very clear in real life!) is a LOTV stamp.  The rolled flowers are made from the same paper as the tea cup which I inked on the reverse side to blend in better.  The leaves are cut from white glitter card using a Marianne Die.  The side panel is punched down the edge using a Martha Stewart punch.  Co-ordinating eyelets were added so that I could thread a narrow white satin ribbon through.  Three Papermania Mosaics were added to complete the design.

This is another version of the card with different colours and an alternative punch.

Teddy Bea Sparkles

Good Morning

Firstly today I'd like to introduce you to the newest members of our family.

These gorgeous little guinea pigs are called Doodles and Maisie and belong to my daughters. I've always had a soft spot for guinea pigs, so am enjoying giving them regular cuddles.

Now onto my card. Back with my favourite Teddy again today, and this time this lovely Teddy Bea is sat amongst the twinkling stars.

She is coloured with pencils and then the image is cut out and attached to the card using an acetate 'boinger'!!!! The background is embossed with a Sizzix folder, and then I went over all the embossing with a Versamark pen and added 'Midnight Madness' embossing powder, the same powder was added to the edge of the moon. In real life it all twinkles beautifully, but I just can't capture it on camera.

The background was then matted onto some holographic silver cardstock to add a bit more sparkle.

Even though I was very tempted to add lots of embellishments to the card, I resisted because I wanted to create the effect of Bea sat in the middle of a twinkling sky. Regretably, the photo doesn't do it justice, but in real life, I'm really pleased with the result.

Strawberries For Teddy Bea

Good Evening

It's a new challenge over at Teddy Bo today. This time we are asked to make a Shaped Card. This gave me the perfect excuse to buy one of Gayle's gorgeous images that I had on my wish list 'Strawberry Picking'.

This adorable Teddy Bea was coloured with pencils. I can't draw for toffee, so found a free strawberry image which I downloaded and then printed onto red paper. The stalk was printed again onto green paper. I then cut out a strawberry shaped card and added the various layers. Teddy Bea was attached with glue gel.

Then came the challenge! How would I make the card stand up? After many failed attempts at creating a stand that would still allow the card to fold flat, I eventually came up with one that did the job.

I couldn't help smiling as I was cutting out the strawberry. It reminded my of a time we took the girls strawberry picking on the Isle of Anglesey when Emma was about 3. We told her she wasn't allowed to eat any of the strawberries until they were paid for. Well these strawberries smelled so delicious and were the size of apples, so of course they got the better of her. By the time we went to pay, all over her face and all down the front of her t-shirt were pink! The woman on the till couldn't help but laugh!!!!

Ahoy Teddy Bo

Good Morning.

It's a new challenge over at TeddyBo today, and this is one I always look forward to. I must have been a bit psychic this week, because the card I had ready to post for today fits the challenge perfectly!

Meet Pirate Teddy Bo.

Teddy Bo is coloured in pencils and then I've cut round the image so I could add him to the card with a bit of dimension.

I printed off a treasure map, crinkled it up and then went all over it with vintage photo distress ink to give it an 'aged' look. I then made the little bunting from coloured card, to match the bunting on the image and add a bit more colour to the card.

The insert in the card again uses the treasure map, with a white panel to write in.

I am entering my card into the Teddy Bo Challenge which this time is Teddy Bo only (I hope Bea isn't too upset).

Bea's In Love

Good Morning

Hasn't the weather been strange over the last few days? Please come back Mr Sunshine!

I couldn't resist and just had to have another go at the current challenge over at TeddyBo. I love Teddy Bea and Bo and I love making easel cards, so here is my second entry to the current challenge.

I remembered to choose my papers before colouring in the image again, and these are some more papers from a previous edition of Making Cards magazine. I love the colour in these papers so it made it quite an easy choice for me. Teddy Bea is coloured using pencils. I've used a Marianne die (for the first time) to make the beautiful circular frame, and also the frame which holds the sentiment. The sentiment is a LOTV stamp.

The flowers are cut from the same papers using a Marianne die, the leaves are a x-cut embossing punch, and the centres are made using a punch. The ribbon is from my stash as is the heart charm which I felt worked really well with this card.

As well as the challenge at Teddy Bo, I would also like to enter my card in the Polka Doodles Challenge, which is also an easel card.

Today I really must finish my LIM card which is sat in bits on my desk!

Teddy Bea Among The Stars

Good Evening

Today's card is my entry into the current Teddy Bo Challenge which this time is to make an easel card.

I have used a gorgeous image of Teddy Bea sat on the moon, surrounded by stars. I coloured the image using pencils and then embossed the moon with a sparkle embossing powder.

The shape for the easel card was made using a 'Get In Shape' template, and I couldn't resist making a shaker card! Various stars and micro beads make up the shaker elements. The stars around the shaker are stamped using a Dimension Fourth stamps and heat embossed with the sparkle powder.

The sentiment tab is a spellbinders die, in a colour to tie-in with Bea's dress, and then a few more stars are attached to the base.

These images are so adorable, and this is one of an ever-increasing range of digi stamps available from Teddy Bo. It's lovely to see Teddy Bo and Bea appearing on so many blogs.

Teddy Bo and Teddy Bea Are In Love

Good Morning

Another lovely sunny morning - I could get used to this!

I hope this Sunday finds you well.

My card for today shows Teddy Bo and Teddy Bea together sharing a romantic meal.

I know I've shown a lot of cards made with these teddies recently, but I'm completely in love with them!!! I bought 8 more digi stamps in the sale last week, so lots more to follow!

This time these adorable teddies were coloured using pencils. The mat they are sat on is die cut onto pearlescent card using a Nellie Snellen die, and the border is made from the same card using a Martha Stewart punch.

I'm sorry I can't remember where I printed the backing paper from, I think it was Precious Petals from Joanna Sheen, but can't be certain.
