Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge - Snowflakes Theme

Good Afternoon

This is my entry into the current challenge over at Cheery Lynn Designs which this week has a theme of 'Snowflakes':

The base card was printed from Pollyanna Pickering's Snow and Ice dvd-rom, as was the image of the beautiful red panda,  I die cut the gorgeous Cheery Lynn Nautical Wheeler Doily from White pearlescent paper and added Gold Embossing Powder around the edges.

The snowflakes were die cut using a Cheery Lynn die, then heat embossed firstly using Crystal Transparent Embossing Powder and then adding a touch of gold embossing powder.

The Seasons Greetings sentiment was die cut from gold holographic card.

Cheery Lynn Challenge - Winter Whites

This is my entry into the latest challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge which is Winter Whites:

Crafty Calendar Challenge January - Something New

Hello Crafters

A very Happy New Year to you all.

It is time for a new challenge over at Crafty Calendar and this month our theme is What's New?  This gives you so many options - new stash, new job, new baby to name but a few.

Our sponsor for this challenge is High Hopes Rubber Stamps and they are offering the winner the fabulous prize of 2 unmounted rubber stamps of their choice.

I have made a calendar for our challenge this month, which is also a Thank You for Christmas gifts.

I used a 6" x 6" card blank onto which I matted some deep pink Core dinations card stock.  I matted onto this some patterned paper from Creative Crafting World.

I used the beautiful Nautical Wheeler Doily Die from Cheery Lynn Designs, which I cut from pale blue glitter card.  I cut the small centre die into four equal sections which I added to each of the corners and then added a blue crystal gem to each corner.

 I added the main doily die to the centre and then added a die-cut butterly to the centre of the doily.  The butterly was cut from the same core dinations card and I then handcut a plain butterfly from the glitter card for extra detail.  Blue crystal gems were then added to the butterfly.

The Happy New Year sentiment was cut using Tattered Lace dies, and then matted onto a decorative mat cut using Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8.

For the base of the calendar, I cut a larger decorative label from the same set to which I attached the calendar tab.  I made a cover for the calendar again die cut from the same label die.  The sentiment was again cut using Tattered Lace dies.  This was attached to the card using foam pads to form a stopper for the upper part of the calendar.

I then cut the border from the glittered card using the stunning 

Butterflies Among The Vines Mesh Border die from Cheery Lynn designs.

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge - Borders and Edgers

Good Evening

This is my entry into the current challenge over at Cheery Lynn Designs which is Borders and Edgers:

I stamped this gorgeous design, Bunny Friends from Penny Black, onto Neenah card and coloured using Spectrum Noir pencils, blended with baby oil.  The image was then matted onto card from PaperMill.

I used the beautiful Ivy Corner Flourish die from Cheery Lynn to create a frame for the picture. I die cut the design into pearl card and then die cut the design again from green card.  I then placed the green die cuts into the gaps in the pearl card, leaving some of the leaves raised to frame the design.  I then matted this onto green card before adding it to an A5 card base.

I die cut the banner using a Memory box die, then printed the sentiment onto white adhesive paper so I could cut out the individual letters and add them to the banner.

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge - Frame It

The current challenge over at Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge is 'Frame It' and here is my card:

The image is from A Touch of Elegance cd-rom from Creative Crafting World which I took into Serif Craft Artist to change it to decoupage.  The backing paper is from the same cd-rom.

The frame is the beautiful Polynesian Sails Oval from Cheery Lynn Designs together with the Polynesian Sails Angel Wing.  I added some tiny gems to the image and some slightly large ones to the frame.  Finally I added some red roses and a Happy Birthday peel off to complete the card.

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge - Anything Goes

This is my entry into the current challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs.  To enter the challenge you must use at least one Cheery Lynn Designs die.  I love their dies so it was very easy for me to comply!

The image and backing paper on my card are printed from Card Creations Plus Flowers in Bloom cd-rom. It's a beautiful cd-rom.  I printed the main image onto glossy photo paper and die cut the doily using Cheery Lynns' Nautical Wheeler Doily die from purple pearlescent card. I then diecut 2 smaller doilies (using the same die) from white and yellow card.

I printed the backing paper onto pearlescent paper for a softer look and inked around the edges using Dusky Concorde Distress Ink.  I stamped a birthday sentiment from Lili of the Valley onto white card using the same Distress ink and created a butterfly from Martha Stewart paper clay.

I die cut a second large doily from purple pearlescent card which I used on the back of the stepper card to write the message.
