Birthday Wishes

My card for today uses papers from Making Cards magazine:

A5 card blank

Martha Stewart punch used to create the border along with some gingham ribbon.

I embossed some cardstock using a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

A Nellie Snellen die (Flower Circles) was used to create the mat the poppy is sat on.  I folded some light card to create the Rosette effect (at least that was the idea!) and I used a template to create the poppy petals, finish off in the centre with a Nellie Snellen punch.

Memory box Honeysuckle Vine die.

Ribbon from create and craft, tied on Bowdabra, flower charm from Pink Gem designs.

Whilst trying to unearth my craft desk this afternoon, I came across this delightful decoupage of Lottie all cut out ready.  I followed the current sketch over at A and T Challenge Blog to come up with my card:

Decoupage from Humphrey's Corner cd-rom printed onto 160gsm printable card.

Backing paper from same cd printed onto satin finish printer paper.

I didn't have a doily large enough, so I cut two in half and pieced them around the image.

Memory box die used to create flower from Mulberry Paper with a pearl in the centre.  Leaves are a Nellie Snellen punch.

Heart charm from my stash attached with bakers twine.

WOW sentiment stamp, stamped and embossed using silver detail embossing powder.

The current theme at the Alphabet Challenge Blog is J for Journey.  Here is my card:

The style of card is made following instructions on Debbie Moore's Vintage Travel cd-rom, which is where the image and backing papers are from.

Gold linen card is used for all the matting and layering.

Sentiment stamp is Lili of the Valley sat on a Spellbinders Fleur De Lis die cut shape.
