CD Sunday Plus Challenge - Hosted by Jocelyn

A very Happy New Year to you all.  I hope you've enjoyed the festive season.

Today see's the start of our first challenge of 2025 over at CD Sunday Plus and is hosted by the lovely Jocelyn.

Here is my card:

The aquilegia dies and charisma are from Tattered Lace, the flowers are decoupaged.  The layered dies are Sue Wilson's Noble dies.  I used Kraft card and a toning green card from Creative Crafting World.  The stamp is by Phill Martin.

A Special Birthday Wish

Hello

I'm now using the new blogger interface, it's very much trial and error for me just now!

My new craft room is now more or less decorated, now to plan the furniture! I'll be reusing what I can and then adding some of the shelving system from Ikea. I can't wait to be moved in! It's going to take a lot of sorting out but will be worth it that's for sure.  I've so much stuff I've not been able to use yet. Exciting times!!

This is a card I made for one of my fellow teamies at CD Sunday Plus.

I used the Jan Harbon cd-rom, Flowers in Bloom from Card Creations plus. I love the images on this cd. I fussy cut the images to create decoupage. I die cut the squares the  decoupage is sat on using some Sue Wilson dies.

The backing paper is from the cd-rom too and I embossed some card using a very similar embossing folder. I have a lot of embossing folders and really should use them more than I do!

The sentiment was stamped using a Phill Martin sentiment stamp.

Happy Anniversary

Hello

Today is my sister-in-law's Wedding Anniversary.  This is the card I have made for her:

I used Paper Boutique 'Love Conquers All' die set to create my card base and mat layer.  I printed the backing paper and flowers onto Fabriano paper from Creative Crafting World.  The flowers were created using Vignettes and dies from the Summer Daze collection from Carnation Crafts.  I decoupaged the flowers using foam pads.  The sentiment is a Sue Wilson die.

My new craft room is progressing slowly but surely.  I thought the idea of having an empty room to plan as I wished would make things easier, but I'm actually finding it all a bit mind blowing!  I'm very much looking forward to it all being finished and being able to use all my supplies.

CD Sunday - Second Entry

Hello Again

This is my second entry into the current challenge at CD Sunday Challenge:

This time I used papers and decoupage from My Craft Studio Fuschia's cd-rom.  Dies from tattered lace, Spellbinders and Sue Wilson.  The sentiment is stamped.  Base card and Kraft Card from Lynda Chapman.

CD Sunday - 9th Birthday

Hello

CD Sunday are celebrating their 9th Birthday.  I love this challenge as it encourages me to use my CD's.  As it's a special celebration, I've gone to town and made three cards using a different cd for each.  My first card used the BeBunni baby cd-rom from Crafters' Companion.  I've made an eclipse card to welcome a new baby:

I used Create and Craft Glitter Card for the mat and flowers.  Hunkydory large alphabet dies for the letters, Sue Wilson Dies for the flowers and pearls from my stash.

Happy 80th Birthday

Hello and Welcome

A new challenge has started over at the CD Sunday Challenge Blog and the challenge theme is 'Cool Colours'.

I've been asked to make a card for a friends' mum's 80th birthday with a theme of penguins.  This, I think,fits in perfectly with the challenge.  Here is my card.

I used a square card from Creative Crafting World and matted Ice blue cardstock. I then die-cut a Sue Wilson die from pearlescent white card.  I printed the twisted decoupage image onto glossy photo paper.  The image is by Pollyanna Pickering and is from Creative Crafting World.

I die cut a label using a Spellbinders label die and added a Happy Birthday peel-off.  The number 80's in the corners are also peel-offs.

'Take A Stamp' - The CD Sunday Challenge

A new challenge has begun over at The CD Sunday Challenge and this time as well as using elements from a cd, we are asked to use a stamp to create our card.

Like many crafters, I do not enjoy making sympathy cards, but unfortunately, we all need to make them from time to time.  This is the case for me and I hope that my card can bring a little comfort to the recipient.

I used a combination of Sue Wilson and Spellbinders dies on my card.  The stamp I used was the 'With Sympathy' sentiment and is a 'WOW!' stamp taken from a set of sentiment stamps.  The cd element is the paper in the background, which is a pink, lightly mottled paper printed from The Seraphina Alphabet Collection cd-rom by Creative Crafting World.

I created the vase using paper clay and a mould from Katy Sue Designs.  The flowers and leaves I have had for some time and are made from paper.

Inky Chicks Challenge - Baby Cards

This is my entry into the current challenge at Inky Chicks:

I used Centura Pearl Card and embossed the base layer with a starry embossing folder.  I used Sue Wilson's New Arrivals - Stuffed Animals collection to create the animals and the 'Pitter Patter' sentiment.  The name was created using Cheery Lynn alphabet dies.
