Gruffies Take A Bath

Hi

I'm still frantically making calendars to send out to family and friends.  This one is made using the Gruffies and Happy Hoppers cd-rom from Joanna Sheen, and uses a decoupage image from the Gruffies section:

I made an easel card and matted the decoupaged image onto Spellbinders die, decorative labels 8.  The backing paper is from Joanna Sheens Housemouse Inserts cd-rom.

The decorative border which the calendar tab is sat on is made using Spellbinders Borderabilities Curved Borders Two, they are my latest dies and I love them!  A few clear Dew Drops from Kraftyhands are used to decorate.  I cut a small piece of towelling in co-ordinating colours to decorate the easel part of the calendar.

I don't know what this style of card is called, I just fancied a change!  Here is a view of the card opened out:

Backing paper from same cd, printed onto satin finish printer paper.

Spellbinders Majestic Squares dies used for Sentiment mat and corners, cut from card from PaperMill.

C'art Us scalloped square dies used for accents.

Memory box Honeysuckle Vine die.

Ribbon from create and craft, tied on Bowdabra, flower charm from Pink Gem designs.

I have made a start on my drawer calendars for 2013, these are always very popular.  In the drawer is a post-it pad and a pencil.

Decoupage from Forever Friends cd-rom, printed onto super smooth decoupage paper.

I printed a backing paper onto white card and added a toning card from Papermill.

I used a Martha Stewart border punch.

Eyelets and button on the drawer are from my stash.

Calendar attached to co-ordinating card to complete the design.

Wedding Doves

Good Morning

I thought I'd share one of my cross-stitched cards with you today as I haven't shown one for a while.  This was an extra-special wedding card I was asked to make and was stitched in the 'wedding colours':

The design was stitched on 18-count antique white aida fabric.

DMC threads and Kreinik metallic threads were used for the stitching.

I had to create my own aperture card from Centura pearl card, silver mirror card and burgundy pearlescent card.

I made the box using Centura pearl card.
