Good Evening

I've combined a number of challenges to create my card for today.  I followed the sketch at Crafting When We Can, the theme at The CD Sunday Challenge to create a Christmas Card using items from a cd, and the theme at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge which is Carol Singing.  Here is my card:

Image from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Christmas cd-rom which I turned into decoupage.

Backing papers from same cd rom.

Joy corner die, Marianne snowflake dies, Memory Box Frosty Border die, all used with white glitter card.

Nellie Snellen star wreath die used as a mat for the sentiment, which is a LOTV stamp, stamped in silver ink and heat embossed with crystal transparent embossing powder.

Red card for matting from PaperMill.

Crystal Art glitter added to main image for extra sparkle!

This is a birthday card I made for my nephew.  It's a variation on the waterfall card I made a couple of weeks ago which the recipient loved.

Summer Fun

Today I am sharing a card made with Joanna Sheen's Nostalgia cd-rom:

A5 card blank.

Decoupage image and backing paper both taken from the cd-rom and matted onto gold matt and black card.

Core'dinations paper embossed with a Darice embossing folder and Faded Jeans distress ink added to the clouds. 

This card is my second entry into Crafting When We Can challenge of Summer Fun.  My first entry exceeded the number of challenges allowed, my apologies for this.

My card for today uses the fabulous Walk On The Wild Side cd-rom from cupcakecrafting.  This cd is jam-packed with gorgeous images and I went to my favourite section of decoupage.

Shall We Dance?

Good Afternoon

The current challenge over at Whoopsi Daisy Challenge is a fab sketch to follow.  Here is my card:

I used one of the delightful images from the Daisy and Friends cd-rom from Joanna Sheen, I used a pre-coloured image as I wanted to decoupage the image.  I changed the spots on her tutu to brown to tie-in with the rest of the card.  I used a Nestabilies die to cut the shape of the mat from dark brown linen card.  I then created a faux nesties around the image.

The backing papers were from a magazine ages ago, and I thought went really well with the image.  The sentiment mat is cut using another nestie and the butterfly is a Marianne die.

I created the floral arrangement using Mulberry flowers and leaves, some feathers from my stash and a hat pin.

Taking A Bath

Good Morning

I hope you've had a lovely weekend.  The sun is shining again today, just what the doctor ordered!

My card for today is the first I have made using the Tulip & Friends dvd from Do Crafts, this card is from the Hot Diggity Dog section.

This image is from the decoupage section, printed onto card.  I layered the image using foam pads and added glossy accents to all the bubbles. This is then matted onto core'dinations cardstock.

The backing papers and sentiments are also from the dvd.  I threaded white satin ribbon through the sentiment before attaching to the card.

Jane Shasky 90th Birthday Card

Good Morning

I hope you've all had a lovely weekend.

The current challenge over at Crafting When We Can - Is Big Birthdays.

My card is a birthday card for a 90 year old!

I used a 6 x 6 scalloped edge card blank to which I added some vellum using flower brads.  The main image, from Joanna Sheen's Jane Shasky cd-rom, I printed a number of times and decoupaged it.  It is then matted onto silver linen card, and then pink holographic card.  The mat the number is sat on uses the same holographic card and is cut with a Nellie Snellen die.  Peel offs are used for the number.

The CD Sunday Challenge - Zodiac

Good Evening

My card for today follows the theme over at the CD Sunday Challenge and the fab sketch over at Willow Sketchie Challenge:

This lovely image is from Joanna Sheen's Enchanted Dreams cd-rom.  This just happens to be my star sign, and I love this image and the gorgeous colours.  I printed the image onto glossy photo paper.  The backing paper, also from the cd-rom, is printed onto a pearlescent paper for a softer look.  The other panel is core'dinations card, embossed using Divine Swirls embossing folder and then sanded slightly.  The ribbon border is 2 different widths of organza ribbon gathered.  I decided to try my hand at making flowers from the ribbon, and am quite pleased with how they've turned out.  I then threaded a hat pin with some co-ordinating beads which I added to the flowers.

Have A Furry Happy Birthday

Good Afternoon

I can't get warm today, have been sat with a hot water bottle on my back all day! 

I have a few birthdays around Christmas.  This is the card I have made to send to an old school friend.

I used the fabulous Furry Friends cd-rom again for this card.  I do love this cd (you may have noticed lol).

I cut the image with a spellbinders label die and then hand-cut a slightly larger mat from Coredinations card stock.  Both backing papers are printed from the cd-rom, one of which I punched around using an EK success paw punch.  I created a smaller mat for the sentiment, for which I used a glittery peel-off.  Some pearls were added to the sentiment and finally 3 buttons were added.

I printed a matching insert from the cd-rom which I personalised before printing.
