Happy 60th Birthday

 Hello

A friend of mine turns 60 this week. He has a cat so I decided to use this super cute image from Joanna Sheen's House-Mouse triple cd-rom:

I turned the image into decoupage and then matted it onto grey adorable scorable. I cut some brown adorable scorable along the edges with a paw print punch and die-cut the sentiment from matching card, matted and layered onto the card using foam pads.

House-Mouse and Friends Challenge

Hi

This is my entry into the House-Mouse and Friends Challenge.  I actually meant to post it for the last challenge but left it too late, but fortunately for me every challenge has an anything goes option so I'm still able to enter it!

Once again, access to the internet has cost me!  I saw a card made using these patchwork dies from Crealies.  I loved the effect so decided to treat myself.  I opened the dies as soon as they arrived and used them to make this Valentine's card for my hubby.  I can see I'll get lots of use from these dies.

I drew around the largest die to make my card base, then cut the shape again from red card, then again from the lovely backing paper from Joanna Sheens' Gruffies & Happy Hoppers cd-rom.  The main image was also from this lovely cd-rom.  I printed out the wording I wanted, die cut the shapes, then went round the edges using ultra thick embossing enamel,  Unfortunately it doesn't show up very well in the picture.

I printed the matching insert from the cd rom to complete the card.

If I'd Known You Were Coming I'd Have Baked A Cake

Good evening!

Phew, I thought I was going to be too late for the current House Mouse & Friends challenge, but I've got there just in time!

Here is my card:

This card is for a friends birthday.  He loves to bake and loves pink, so this card should go down well I hope.

The card uses a House Mouse decoupage from Joanna Sheen, and backing paper from the House Mouse inserts cd-rom.  I printed off 2 different sized photos of a chocolate muffin, put one behind the main image, and attached the smaller one to a penny slider, and then attached a mouse to the muffin.

Inside the card I've made a pocket to hold a recipe for Mississippi mud pie which I typed up and printed out, and then attached to some brown linen card.

I'm sorry about the quality of this photo.  My camera battery ran out just as I'd taken it, so I can't try and take a better one until tomorrow.

An Apple A Day

Good Afternoon

The current challenge over at House Mouse and Friends Challenge is 'Let's Get Fruity' and this is my card for the challenge.

This card, of course, features a Happy Hopper and the card is made using a decoupage sheet from Joanna Sheen.  The backing paper is printed from the House Mouse inserts cd-rom, again from Joanna Sheen, and a lovely warm yellow linen card is used for all the matting.  Green gems in varying sizes are added to complete the card.

Decorating The Christmas Tree

Good Evening

Today I've finished off another Christmas card to add to my supply!

This is my entry for the current House Mouse and Friends Challenge which this time is to use buttons, bows and bling.

This is a large, square card which I made from white linen cardstock.  The backing paper, which is printed from the House Mouse inserts cd-rom from Joanna Sheen, is matted onto pearlescent gold cardstock.  The decoupage image is also from Joanna Sheen.  I made a double ribbon bow from narrow ribbon and attached to this the charm from my stash.  Three buttons were added to the card, with twine threaded through each.  Three pearls were added, in the same colour as the buttons and the baubles in the image.  A sentiment was then added to complete the card.
