Good Evening

I had an idea for this card earlier this afternoon, and it has taken me until now to complete it!

I used orange and brown cardstock from Papermill.  The hexagons are created using  Nellie Snellen dies, and I created 3 acetate windows.  The stamps came free with a magazine, I stamped them onto Neenah cardstock using Versafine ink, and coloured them with my coloursoft pencils.  Various glitters and confetti were added to each window to create the shaker effect.

A New Baby Girl

Good Afternoon

The current challenge over at A Spoon Full of Sugar is Sewing.  I made the 'blue' version of this card earlier in the year, and then received a request for a 'pink' version, so here it is.

This is one of my favourite cross stitch patterns ever, but boy does it take some stitching!

The design is cross stitched on 18 count aida, using DMC threads.  Seed beads are added for decoration.

I made the aperture card using silver mirror, pink pearlescent and white hammered card.

I would also like to enter my challenge in the Whoopsi Daisy Challenge - We Love Pink.

Here Comes Summer

Good Morning

It seems summer is coming to everywhere but Manchester!! I'm sorry to keep moaning about the weather, but the rain does seem to have a detrimental effect on my condition and is getting me down.

So with thoughts (hopes) of the summer, my card for today uses a gorgeous image from The Pamela West Collection cd-rom by Joanna Sheen.

Isn't this a beautiful image? It brings back lots of happy holiday memories to me.

The frame is die cut using a Marianne die, and the backing paper, which unfortunately doesn't show up too well in the phote, is from the same cd-rom. The base card uses white hammered cardstock from Papermill.
