House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge

 Here is my second entry into the current House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge which is Anything Goes with the option of Spring/Easter:

I took the image from Joanna Sheen's House-Mouse cd-rom and turned it into decoupage, then matted it onto some silver card.  I printed the accompanying backing paper from the cd-rom.

I then quilled the 3 ducks using strips of the appropriately coloured paper and added a bead for each of their eyes.

I decided against putting a sentiment on the front of the card as thought it could be used for a number of different occasions.  This was such a fun card to make!

House-mouse & Friends Monday Challenge

 Hello

This is my entry into the latest House-Mouse & Friends challenge.  I don't enter many challenges these days, but do like to try and enter this one.

The theme for this challenge is Spring or Easter so |I went with spring.

The image is from Joanna Sheen's House-mouse triple cd-rom, and I took the image into My Craft Studio to make it into decoupage.

I used the accompanying backing paper, which I cut in half and used the other half as the insert.  Yellow caes from my stash was added to complete the card.

House-mouse & Friends Monday Challenge #434

 Today I'm sharing a card I've made for the House-Mouse & friends Monday Challenge.  This is one of my favourite challenges to enter and I hope to be a more regular participant this year.

The theme for this challenge is anything goes with the option of adding spring flowers.

This is such a fun image, taken from Joanna Sheen's triple cd-rom.  I opened the image in My Craft Stduio and made it into decoupage.  The backing paper was in among my print-outs and I now can't remember where it's from!  I stamped the Happy Birthday Sentiment.

House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge

 Good morning

I'm back from a lovely week away.  Yesterday was my hubbies 60th birthday.  We had lots of callers and our daughters came round for their tea.  I made his favourite cake - chocolate with galaxy melted on the top!  There are more celebrations planned for the weekend.

It was a friends birthday the other day, so I decided to use a house-mouse image for her card.  I hadn't made a shaker card in ages, and thought this image lent itself to a shaker card!

The image and backing paper are from Joanna Sheen's house-mouse cd-rom.  I cut an aperture into some purple card and again into the backing paper.  Sugar strands were added as the shaker element, then I created some little party hats from the backing paper and some streamers from a toning yellow paper.

I would like to enter my card into House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge - Anything goes with the option to add a butterfly.

House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge - Add Something Blue

 Good Morning

I'm trying to get ahead with my birthday cards, so decided to make another for the House Mouse & Friends Challenge.  This time I remembered to 'Add Something Blue' which was an optional part of the challenge.  This card is for my niece who is a big animal lover:

I printed the decoupage, backing paper and sentiment from the cd-rom that came with the House Mouse Project Book by Joanna Sheen.  I love cutting out decoupage and it's good exercise for my dodgy hands!

I remembered I had a very neglected embossing folder with cupcakes on that I thought would work perfectly with the image.  The blue card is from Hunkydory.

To finish, I die cut the bunting from the backing paper, and used a Spellbinders die to cut the pretty banner for the sentiment to sit on,

CD Sunday - Mellow Yellow

There is a new challenge under way over at the CD Sunday Challenge and this time the theme is Mellow Yellow.

Here is my card:

The decoupaged image and backing paper are printed from Joanna Sheen's House Mouse Project Book cd-rom.

I used pearlescent yellow card from Create and Craft for the main mat, the die cut corners and the sentiment mat.  I also used silver mirror card from Create and Craft as an additional mat.  The sentiment stamp is from Lili of the Valley.

This is the card I made for my dad to give my daughter for her birthday.  She loves cheese so I knew I was onto a winner with this image, and who doesn't love house mouse?

An Apple A Day

Good Afternoon

The current challenge over at House Mouse and Friends Challenge is 'Let's Get Fruity' and this is my card for the challenge.

This card, of course, features a Happy Hopper and the card is made using a decoupage sheet from Joanna Sheen.  The backing paper is printed from the House Mouse inserts cd-rom, again from Joanna Sheen, and a lovely warm yellow linen card is used for all the matting.  Green gems in varying sizes are added to complete the card.

A Walk Together

Hello there.

It's a cold, wet, miserable day here in Manchester, so I'm working with some summery images to cheer me up.

Today's card uses another of the All Our Yesterday's decoupage sheets from Joanna Sheen.

The backing paper is from the House-mouse inserts cd-rom, teamed with purple cardstock from Papermill. The flowers are made from the same backing paper cut with Marianne dies. (I'm a bit addicted to these roses at the moment!).

Teddy Bo Brings A Flower

Good Morning

It's very quiet here today now everyone is back at school, college and work! Murphy's decided to have a long lie-in this morning!

I'm back with Teddy Bo again today, these images are just so adorable I can't stop colouring them in!!!

Teddy Bo is coloured in pencils again and I like the softer look it gives him. He is then sat on a pearlescent lilac mat, cut using a Nellie Snellen die. Both lots of backing papers are printed from Joanna Sheen's House Mouse cd-rom. I thought the pink backing paper, which is a close-up of some knitting, was perfect to use with Teddy Bo. Finally, the corners are die-cut from the same pearlescent card using a spellbinders die, and a little pearl (from Joanna Sheen)was put in the centre of each flower.
