With Love At Christmas

There is a great sketch to follow over at the Sketch N Stash Challenge Blog.  I combined this with this weeks theme at Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge, card for a couple, to come up with the following card:

Backing papers from Swalk Christmas cd-rom, printed onto Satin Finish printer paper.

Blue card used for matting from Create and Craft.

cArt-Us die used to cut scalloped circle mat.

Marianne Designs Creatable corner die 

Reverse wonky rectangle die used for sentiment,which is from Jayne Nestorenko's Adorable stamp range, stamped in Faded Jeans distress ink.

The current challenge over at Divas by Design is a sketch to follow.  Here is my take on the sketch:

This is a card for my daughter to sent to one of her best friends who is a big cat lover.

Base card 8 x 8 decorative edged card from Cupcakecrafting

Image printed from Joanna Sheen's housemouse project cd-rom onto glossy photo paper and matted onto silver them lilac card from Papermill.

Backing paper from Housemouse inserts cd-rom, printed onto satin finish paper.

Central paper embossed using a Darice Embossing folder and then trimmed.

Sentiment stamp from a WOW Stamp Set, as is the flourish, stamped in silver metallic ink.

It's time for a new challenge at Crafty Calendar Challenge and this month our theme is Fun In The Sun with the option of shimmer and shine.

This month we are sponsored by Robyn's Fetish who kindly provided us with some images to work with.

I followed the sketch over at Sketch and Stash for my card.

6 x 6 card blank

Backing papers all from making cards magazine.

Image printed onto Neenah card, coloured with coloursoft pencils and blended with baby oil.

I used tumbled glass distress ink for the sky and followed Hazel's fab tutorial which can be found here.

Beachcomber embossing powder was added to the sand for extra texture.

Ribbon was tied on the bowdabra (available from Joanna Sheen), shells from my stash.
