Snow Is Falling!!

Good afternoon.

It's only snowing on my card thank goodness!  This year I am determined to make Christmas Cards throughout the year so I don't end up with the usual last minute panic.  It's far more enjoyable if there's no time pressure.  My mojo's being a bit stubborn just now, so I was glad of the help of some Christmas challenges to get me cracking.

Here is my card:

I followed the current sketch over at Christmas Challenges (with sketches).  The image is from the SWALK winters cheer range, I love this image, those hats are fab!  I coloured the image with a combination of promarkers and coloursoft pencils and added some pinflair snow dust to the fur areas.  The backing papers are also from the cd-rom.  The die the image is sat on is a Marianne designs die, cut from core'dinations cardstock and then the embossed area sanded.  The snowflakes are also Marianne dies and the edge punch is  Martha Stewart.

I made a co-ordinating insert using My Craft Studio to complete the card.

Christmas Fun

Good Morning

Thank you for all your good wishes yesterday, hopefully the new medication regime will start to help very soon.

I've another Christmas card to share with you today:

The image is from the decoupage section of Joanna Sheen's Nostalgia cd-rom.  By way of a change, I used a Glitter Girls embsoosing board to produce the frame.  The sentiment is Lili of the Valley, sat on a memory box die-cut.

House Mouse & Friends

Good Afternoon

The new challenge over at House Mouse & Friends  is Thank You.  I needed to make a thank you card to send to some special friends so this fitted the challenge perfectly:

I'm sorry about the quality of the photo, the card is actually quite colourful in real life, but the light is so bad today, this was the best I could do.

I use a housemouse decoupage from Joanna Sheen.  The backing paper is from the Housemouse cd-rom, printed onto centura paper.  The frame is a wonky rectangle spellbinders die cut into some platinum pearlescent cardstock.  I added some gems to the frame.  The sentiment is lili of the valley, layered onto a memorybox die.  For the mini bouquet I made some flowersoft stems and also threaded some seed beads onto wire.  The bouquet wrap is made from angelhair paper.

Boo To You

Good Afternoon

A very warm welcome to my blog.  My card for today is a spooky card for Halloween:

The image on the card is a digi stamp from Pollycraft and I have coloured her with coloursoft pencils.  The spiders web was one of those bright ideas that ends up taking an age to do.  The outer shape was created using a Marianne Die and I then threaded black cotton through to create the web.  The wording is die cut using an x-cut alphabet die and the pumpkins are from a My Craft Studio cd.

Back To School

Good Evening

I am pleased to see I have a couple of new followers.  It's lovely to have your company :o))

I was lucky enough to win some digi stamps from Di's Digi Downloads and this card is made using one of the stamps I chose.

 I made a square card blank from some dark navy cardstock, and then matted some backing paper from Making Cards magazine onto some gold mirror board.  I cut a border from co-ordinating paper and cut one edge with a Martha Stewart punch.

The image was coloured using coloursoft pencils and then matted onto a die-cut circle of the same dark navy cardstock.

I cut some stars using a die-namics die from gold mirror card and dark navy card.  These were then layered up and added to the card.

Molly Blooms

Good Evening

I was lucky enough to win a couple of Molly Blooms stamps in a Challenge last week, and have used one of them on todays card.

Isn't she lovely?  I have a friend due to start a new job, and the place she will be working is called Molly's, so this seemed a very appropriate stamp to use.

I followed the sketch over at Paper Sundaes Challenge.  Molly is stamped onto watercolour card and coloured with Lyra's.  The shape Molly and the sentiment are on are spellbinders.  The papers are from Making Cards magazine.  The sentiment is Lili of the Valley and the gems are from Joanna Sheen.

A Walk In The Garden

Good Evening

I hope you are having a good weekend.  Rather typically, the Bank Holiday weather has been rubbish.  Thank goodness for crafting!

I am trying to make use of all my crafting purchases that haven't yet seen the light of day, and today's card is the first outing for this particular stamp set.  The card took me all afternoon to complete, but I am pleased with the result.

I followed the sketch over at Fussy and Fancy Challenge and the topic at The CD Sunday Challenge which this week is 'Just Because'.

All the stamps are from the same stamp plate from the Summer Adorables range by Jayne Nestorenko.  I stamped onto watercolour card using sepia versafine ink and coloured using Lyra Aquacolours.  The mat was created using a 'Get In Shape' template and I inked round the edges using Antique Linen distress ink.  The backing papers are printed from the Adorables cd-rom and all are matted onto silver mirri card.  The flower border is made using a spellbinders shapeabilities die carefully cut and then put together.  A gem is then added to the centres.  The flowers are cut using a die from the same set, layered up and then a gem added to the centre.

The inside of the card has been decorated to co-ordinate.

Summertime Fun

Good Evening

Today's card is made using another of the Faye Whittaker decoupage sheets from Joanna Sheen. Can you tell I'm a fan of these???

I used a white card base, and then scored the lines onto some platinum pearlescent cardstock to provide a frame for the decoupage.

This is a card I have made for my sister to send to our dad for Fathers Day.

I am one of three girls, and dad loves his garden, so this seemed an appropriate choice of image.

Again, I have used a Joanna Sheen decoupage matted onto silver mirror card. The backing paper is from the Housemouse cd-rom and the various die-cuts have been made using spellbinders dies, cut into pearlescent cardstock.
