Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge - Borders and Edgers

Good Evening

This is my entry into the current challenge over at Cheery Lynn Designs which is Borders and Edgers:

I stamped this gorgeous design, Bunny Friends from Penny Black, onto Neenah card and coloured using Spectrum Noir pencils, blended with baby oil.  The image was then matted onto card from PaperMill.

I used the beautiful Ivy Corner Flourish die from Cheery Lynn to create a frame for the picture. I die cut the design into pearl card and then die cut the design again from green card.  I then placed the green die cuts into the gaps in the pearl card, leaving some of the leaves raised to frame the design.  I then matted this onto green card before adding it to an A5 card base.

I die cut the banner using a Memory box die, then printed the sentiment onto white adhesive paper so I could cut out the individual letters and add them to the banner.

Crafty Calendar Challenge - It's All About Christmas

Good Morning and welcome to my blog today.  It's time for a new challenge at Crafty Calendar Challenge and our theme for this month is It's All About Christmas.  We are sponsored by Scribbles Designs and they gave us some fabulous images to work with.  Here is my card:

I used an 8 x 8 scalloped card and embossed some Christmas Green centura pearl card using the Christmas Ephemera embossing folder from Crafter's Companion.  I used Crafter's Companion Christmas Eve Create-A-Card die to cut and emboss some white card, and I then inked through the die using Fired Brick Distress Ink.  This was then matted onto silver mirror card, which was then added to the base card.

I printed the Snowman Snapshot digi stamp onto Neenah Card and then coloured the design using Spectrum Noir colouring pencils, blended with baby oil.  I added to the snowman Cosmic Shimmer Iced Snow Glitter Jewels and think they give a great effect.

I die cut the Happy Christmas sentiment from silver mirror card and then heat embossed using Silver Metal Magic.  The stars were cut using Memory box dies.  Finally I added the pom pom braid.
