Birds and Butterflies!

I've another calendar to share with you today.  This time I've used some of the gorgeous Giordano decoupage from Joanna Sheen:

Mini fanciful flourish die used either side of the main image.

Marianne die used to cut mat the Calendar tab is sat on.

Floral flourish die used either side of the calendar tab.

I hope your weekend is off to a good start.

I'd like to share a golden wedding card with you today that was a special order from a friend:

Card created using Glitter Girls 'Once Upon A Time' Embossing board

Centura Pearl Ivory card, Old gold pearlescent card and gold holographic card used for the various layers.

An embossing folder was used for the top layers.

Marianne butterfly die used to create butterfly from Pearlescent gold card and glittered vellum.  Three gold gems added to body to complete.

Spellbidners floral oval die used to create layer for wording, which was computer generated and printed in gold.

Two different ribbons were added to centre on the book, together with various embellishments from my stash.  The number 50 was die-cut using a Memorybox die.

Deco Art glitter was added to the corners of the book using double sided adhesive sheets.

I made a box for  the card using the same card stock:

The hearts and swans were made using Nellie Snellen dies.

Snow Is Falling!!

Good afternoon.

It's only snowing on my card thank goodness!  This year I am determined to make Christmas Cards throughout the year so I don't end up with the usual last minute panic.  It's far more enjoyable if there's no time pressure.  My mojo's being a bit stubborn just now, so I was glad of the help of some Christmas challenges to get me cracking.

Here is my card:

I followed the current sketch over at Christmas Challenges (with sketches).  The image is from the SWALK winters cheer range, I love this image, those hats are fab!  I coloured the image with a combination of promarkers and coloursoft pencils and added some pinflair snow dust to the fur areas.  The backing papers are also from the cd-rom.  The die the image is sat on is a Marianne designs die, cut from core'dinations cardstock and then the embossed area sanded.  The snowflakes are also Marianne dies and the edge punch is  Martha Stewart.

I made a co-ordinating insert using My Craft Studio to complete the card.
