A Day At The Beach

My card for today is once again using the Adorables range from Jayne Nestorenko.

The scene is a decoupage scene from the cd-rom.  I have then stamped a selection of images from the stamp plates onto watercolour card, and coloured using my Lyra's.

A Walk In The Garden

Good Evening

I hope you are having a good weekend.  Rather typically, the Bank Holiday weather has been rubbish.  Thank goodness for crafting!

I am trying to make use of all my crafting purchases that haven't yet seen the light of day, and today's card is the first outing for this particular stamp set.  The card took me all afternoon to complete, but I am pleased with the result.

I followed the sketch over at Fussy and Fancy Challenge and the topic at The CD Sunday Challenge which this week is 'Just Because'.

All the stamps are from the same stamp plate from the Summer Adorables range by Jayne Nestorenko.  I stamped onto watercolour card using sepia versafine ink and coloured using Lyra Aquacolours.  The mat was created using a 'Get In Shape' template and I inked round the edges using Antique Linen distress ink.  The backing papers are printed from the Adorables cd-rom and all are matted onto silver mirri card.  The flower border is made using a spellbinders shapeabilities die carefully cut and then put together.  A gem is then added to the centres.  The flowers are cut using a die from the same set, layered up and then a gem added to the centre.

The inside of the card has been decorated to co-ordinate.

An Apple A Day

Good Afternoon

The current challenge over at House Mouse and Friends Challenge is 'Let's Get Fruity' and this is my card for the challenge.

This card, of course, features a Happy Hopper and the card is made using a decoupage sheet from Joanna Sheen.  The backing paper is printed from the House Mouse inserts cd-rom, again from Joanna Sheen, and a lovely warm yellow linen card is used for all the matting.  Green gems in varying sizes are added to complete the card.

There Was An Old Woman Who Lived In A Shoe

Good Morning

I'm back home now after a lovely few days stay at my sisters' house.  I saw both my sisters, mum and dad and almost all my nieces and nephews. 

The challenge over at The CD Sunday Challenge Blog this week is Nursery Rhymes.  Here is my card.

I love participating in the challenge as it gets me looking through all my cd-roms.  I really should use them more than I do, and this challenge gives me a kick start!!

This card uses a decoupage image and backing papers from the Appley Dapply's Nursery Rhymes cd-rom from crafters companion.  I think this is a lovely decoupage design and I decided not to embellish the card any further so as not to distract from the image.

I had a lovely surprise when I visited the challenge blog, I came first last week!!!  Thank you very much ladies, you've made my day.

You Brighten My Day

Good Morning

This is a scheduled post as I am away, hopefully it will work ok!

My card for today is made using the Jayne Netley Mayhew disc from Joanna Sheen, and this design is from the decoupage section.

I decided to make an easel card as I felt this showed the design very well.  The sentiment is made using a Lili Of The Valley stamp and then triple embossed.  The flowers are made using Nellie Snellen punch and embossers.

Setting The Scene

Good Morning

My card for today is a 'just because' card that I'm sending to my brother-in-law.  We don't get chance to speak very often so we occasionally send each other cards with an 'update' inside.

The card uses the Countryside Scene-it stamp set from Hobby Art, I LOVE this set of stamps!!

I stamped onto watercolour card using versafine and painted with my Lyra Aquacrayons.  The frame is a lovely pearlescent card from PaperMill, rung through my big shot with an embossing folder to produce the frame.  This is then mounted onto the card base made from a dark brown linen card.

A Cute Companion Just For You

Thank you for visiting my blog today.

My card is one I have made for a friend who is not very well at the moment.  I have used some of the duo stamps from Jayne Nestorenko, and have to admit to these stamps being rather neglected!

The images are stamped with Versafine ink and then heat embossed with fine detail powder,  There are a selection of sentiments that come on the stamp plate, I felt that this one best suited my card.

The images are painted using Lyra aquacrayons.  The backing paper is from my stash, the corners punched with a Martha Stewart punch and pearls (again from my stash) added to each corner.  I used a lilac satin ribbon for my bow.  The tiny flowers are punched using a Kreaxions punch that I've had for yonks, flowers punched out of lemon paper and glittered vellum, then layered and a tiny pearl from Joanna Sheen added to the centre of each flower.

A Thank You Teddy

Good Morning

My card for today is to send to a friend who has helped me recently.

This lovely image is from LOTV coloured with Coloursoft pencils and some glitter was added for extra sparkle.  The shape is created using a Get In Shape Template.  The backing papers were free in a magazine quite some time ago.  Little gem flowers are used to complete the design.  I followed the current sketch at Willow Sketchie Challenge for the card layout.

We're Off To See The Wizard

Good Morning

My card for today is made using the Enchanted Dreams cd-rom from Joanna Sheen.

The main image was printed onto glossy photo paper and then matted onto gold mirri card.  The background paper is printed from the same cd-rom.  The stacking stars are cut from gold and silver mirri card using a die-namics die.  The base card stock is a beautiful rich blue from Papermill.

A Thank You Card

Good Morning

Good luck to everyone who is receiving exam results today.

Yesterday a close friend of mine took me and Emma out for lunch. We had a lovely meal and also a lovely catch up, and we all had a wonderful time.

My card for today is a Thank You card I am sending to my friend.

The card is made using image and background papers from Joanna Sheen's Dancing with Shadows cd-rom.  I have only recently acquired this cd and this is the first card I have made using it.  I used a black cardstock for the base card, and cut the ovals out of the same cardstock using some Nellie Snellen dies.  The flowers (which show up much better in real life) are cut from the same backing paper using Nellie Snellen punches and a little gem is also added to the centre of each flower.

Time For Tee

Good Morning

My card for today is for my husbands birthday and is made using Joanna Sheen's Nostalgia cd-rom.  I have only had this cd a short time, and already it has proved so useful, there are many lovely images on it - and I've not even looked at the Christmas cd yet!!

All the images are from the cd, layered onto gold linen cardstock.  The accents and sentiment tag are all cut using spellbinders dies using the same cardstock.  The base card is white linen, and I embossed round the edges using a glittergirls embossing board.

I'm Back With Teddy Bea!

Good Afternoon.

Thank you to everyone who sent me good wishes for my trip.  I had a fabulous time and have come back feeling much stronger mentally.  Physically, it is taking me longer to recover, as I knew it would.  I have updated my blog header to a photo of the same view taken whilst I was there this time.  It really is such a special place to stay.

Emma's best friend celebrates her birthday next week, and my card for today is the one I have made for Emma's friend.  I was struggling to get started, and luckily found a sketch over at Fetch A Sketch which got me started!

The image is a Teddy Bea image from TeddyBo.com.  The papers are from a previous issue of Making Cards magazine.  The stars are die-cut into co-ordinating card stock using a die-namics die.
