Hello and welcome to my blog.

This is a card I sent to a friend to let her know I was thinking of her.

I've always been a big decoupage fan, previously I always cut it out by hand (and sometime still do).  This is of course very time consuming so I'm thrilled with all the new dies being released by Tattered Lace and Carnation Crafts which still allow me to do decoupage using their beautiful dies.

This is an 8 x 8 card from Lynda Chapman, and the coloured card used for the frames is Lynda's woodstock card.   All the flower and butterfly dies are from Tattered Lace's Portmanteau range, I love the detail in the designs.  The frames are from the Daisy Hill Picture Decoupage set.  The gems were from Joanna Sheen a long time ago!

I made a box to post the card in as it was and inch deep when finished.

A Special Birthday Wish

Hello

I'm now using the new blogger interface, it's very much trial and error for me just now!

My new craft room is now more or less decorated, now to plan the furniture! I'll be reusing what I can and then adding some of the shelving system from Ikea. I can't wait to be moved in! It's going to take a lot of sorting out but will be worth it that's for sure.  I've so much stuff I've not been able to use yet. Exciting times!!

This is a card I made for one of my fellow teamies at CD Sunday Plus.

I used the Jan Harbon cd-rom, Flowers in Bloom from Card Creations plus. I love the images on this cd. I fussy cut the images to create decoupage. I die cut the squares the  decoupage is sat on using some Sue Wilson dies.

The backing paper is from the cd-rom too and I embossed some card using a very similar embossing folder. I have a lot of embossing folders and really should use them more than I do!

The sentiment was stamped using a Phill Martin sentiment stamp.

Today sees the start of our next challenge and this time Wynn is our hostess. Our theme is Anything Goes - as well as following the theme of the challenge, a CD, USB or Digital images, or any combination thereof, must have been used somewhere in the making of the card or project. It doesn’t have to be the whole card but it can be. It can be as small as perhaps a sentiment or a piece of backing paper- but there has to be some CD, USB or Digital source content somewhere together with everything else you have used. THE SOURCE MUST BE NAMED AND CREDITED.

Here is my card:

I used My Craft Studio Bree Merryn In The Wild cd-rom.  Kraft card & black card from Creative Crafting World.  Sentiment dies from Hunkydory, Letter dies from Tattered Lace, gems from my stash.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge # 39 - Hosted by Me

Welcome to my blog today.

Today sees the start of our next challenge at CD Sunday Plus and this time I am hostess for the first time. It can be as small as perhaps a sentiment or a piece of backing paper- but there has to be some CD, USB or Digital source content somewhere together with everything else you have used. Here is my card:

I used Crafters Companion Kimono cd-rom.  The base card is a 7 x 10 card from Creative Crafting World.  I decoupaged the image and matted it onto silver mirri card and Lynda Chapman's famous black card. I also used one of the backing papers from the cd. Finally, I die cut my sentiment using dies from Tattered Lace.

Cuties In Booties - For A Challenge

Hello and welcome

One of my favourite artists is Bree Merryn.  I have a number of cd-roms featuring her artwork and I am eagerly awaiting the latest Christmas cd-rom from Creative Crafting World.

I wanted to make a card to send to a friend who isn't very well at the moment.  This is what I came up with:

I used the 'Cuties In Booties' cd-rom, from My Craft Studio.  I created a 6 x 6 card using a fancy edged card blank from my stash.  I used Lynda Chapman's Kraft card for all the mats, and printed everything onto CCW's Fabriano digital paper.  I raised the layers using foam pads and finished with some gems from my stash.

I would like to enter my card into the current challenge at Allsorts challenge which has a theme of 'So Cute'.

Father's Day

Happy Sunday

This is the card I made for my daughter's to send to my husband;

The image was printed from MCS fun and frolics cd-rom, onto Fabriano paper from Creative Crafting World.  The 8 x 8 card blank and all the card used was from CCW as was the backing paper. I die cut DAD using dies from Hunkydory and added the letters using foam pads.

A note to say ...

This card I made for a friend to say I'm thinking of them:

I used a landscape card from Creative Crafting World for my base.  The image and backing paper was printed from A Bree Merryn My Crafts Studio cd-rom (Precious Pups).  I used Lynda Chapman's Black and Kraft Card for all my mats and layers and the border die is a Paper Boutique die.  The sentiment and paw prints were stamped using Vintage Sepia Versamark ink and free stamps from a magazine.

I was really pleased with how this card turned out!

I used Beatrix Potters' Jemima Puddle-Duck cd-rom from Crafters' Companion to make my card.  The decoupage, backing papers and insert are all printed from the cd-rom.  I used an 8 x 8vcream card blank from Joanna Sheen, yellow card from PaperMill and gems from my stash.  The lettering was cut using dies also from Crafters' Companion.

Happy Anniversary

Hello

Today is my sister-in-law's Wedding Anniversary.  This is the card I have made for her:

I used Paper Boutique 'Love Conquers All' die set to create my card base and mat layer.  I printed the backing paper and flowers onto Fabriano paper from Creative Crafting World.  The flowers were created using Vignettes and dies from the Summer Daze collection from Carnation Crafts.  I decoupaged the flowers using foam pads.  The sentiment is a Sue Wilson die.

My new craft room is progressing slowly but surely.  I thought the idea of having an empty room to plan as I wished would make things easier, but I'm actually finding it all a bit mind blowing!  I'm very much looking forward to it all being finished and being able to use all my supplies.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge and some exciting news!

Good morning and welcome to my blog today.

Those of you who follow my blog may well be aware that the CD Sunday Plus Challenge has been a favourite of mine for a long time and one I always try to enter.  Well, I'm delighted to tell you that I am now a member of the design team! To say I'm thrilled is an understatement.

Today is my first challenge as part of the DT.  This time the challenge is histed by Jocelyn. The theme is Anything Goes using a CD/DVD-rom, USB or digital download and the source must be credited. All or just a small part can be from one of these sources.

Here is my card:

I used Tattered Lace Portmanteau usb and dies to create the decoupaged flowers and butterflies. The ovals are Tattered Lace South Field dies, the backing paper from Creative Crafting World, as is the cardstock - Lynda Chapman's woodstock card. A die cut sentiment and some gems completed my card.

The little flowers were cut using dies from the same set and I finished the card with a matching insert.

Bree Merryn More Cuties In Booties

Hello

This is a second 'just because' card I made using my My Craft Studio Cuties In Booties

cd-rom. This time for a friend who loves pigs.

The backing paper is from the same cd. I used Lynda Chapman's woodstock card and cut the sentiment using a die from Crafters Companion.

I would like to enter my card into the Anything Goes challenge at CD Sunday Plus.
