CD Sunday P;us Challenge #75 - Hosted by Carol

 Good morning and a very warm welcome to my blog.

Christmas is fast approaching now and I hope your plans are coming together nicely.

It's been a very busy couple of week's in my household, with my youngest daughter turning 21 and we're busy getting ready for Christmas.

I'm really looking forward to Christmas this year.  We're having family and close friends visiting which is good for me as I don't have to travel, which is painful for me.

Today see's the start of our last challenge of 2021 over at CD Sunday Plus Challenge.  As always our challenge is anything goes as long as our rules are followed.  Our rules can be found over on the challenge page.  Our next challenge will start on January 9th.

I'm thoroughly enjoying being part of the CD Sunday Plus DT, and love to visit everyone's blogs and see your creations.

Here is my card for this challenge:

I used a set of dies for this card which have been in my 'collection' for a long time but have had very little use.  I have a lot of dies which this statement applies to and plan to rectify that in the coming months.

The iris is a vignette from Carnation Crafts, cut with the accompanying dies, and decoupaged.  I used silver mirri and co'redinations card for the mats and layers.  It took a long time to put together but I am pleased with the result.  I added a few gems and die-cut a sentiment using Hunkydory dies to complete the card.

Bailey is now 8 months old and has made the BIGGEST difference to my mental health.  He makes us laugh and smile constantly.  As I type this, he's emptying my waste paper box!

I used a Pollyanna Pickering cd-rom, along with Krafyhands cute puppies and kittens and Bree Merryn for the calendar tab and letters.  Creative Crafting World's card blanks, Woodstock card and kraft card were also used.

CD Plus Challenge #73 - Hosted by Margaret

 Good morning 

A very warm welcome to my blog.

Thanks to everyone who was kind enough to leave a comment on my last post.  It seems that collecting craft supplies is as much a part of our hobby as using them.  I've done a lot of crafting since my last post.  I have music playing on Alexa and Bailey at my feet.  I've really been enjoying it and find it very help as I struggle with this time of year both mentally and physically.

Today sees the start of our new challenge at CD Sunday Plus and this time our lovely Margaret is hosting.  We do hope you'll be able to join us.

Today I'm sharing the next page of my Calendar and this time it features the adorable Betsy.

I'm asked a lot about how Bailey is doing so here's a quick update.  He is a bundle of pure joy!! His tail wags constantly, he is VERY loving and loves going for walks.  He's also a ninja, and loves to pinch socks, wool and bits of paper!!  Here's a couple of photos that show how much he's grown in a very short time!!

CD Sunday Plus Challenge #72 - Hosted by me!

 Good morning

It's hard to believe we're almost at the end of October and Christmas is approaching very quickly.

I've been busy in my craftroom having a good sort out.  Many boxes of craft items have gone to a hospice and a charity that supports adults with dementia.  If I live to 200, I could never get through the amount of craft stuff I've accumulated!!  I'm currently crafting items to raise funds to name a Guide Dog Arthur after my late dad.  It's good to keep busy.  

I got very little crafting done last year and was on the verge of getting rid of all my craft stuff.  My family and friends talked me out of it and I'm so glad they did.  As Lynda Chapman always says, it's good to get 'Lost in the Doing' and doing just that is certainly helping me to cope with my pain.

Our new challenge starts today at CD Sunday Plus and I have the next page of my calendar to share with you, this time featuring the adorable Hudson:

I used cardstock from Creative Crafting World, images from Pollyanna Pickering and The Little Dog Laughed, Lettering and Calendar tab from Bree Merryn cd-rom, finished with some die cuts from CCW.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge ~71 - Hosted by Pamela

 Hello and welcome

Thank you for visiting my blog.

The weeks are quickly flying by and it feels like Christmas is just the blink of an eye away.

Today we start our new challenge over at CD Sunday Plus and I am sharing the next page in my Calendar with you.

Today the dog featured is Rosie, she is mum to the puppies and raised all 11 of them so beautifully:

I just had to use the image from Joanna Sheen's Giordano puppies and kittens cd-rom, as this is just how Rosie looked as a puppy.

Our previous cocker spaniel, Murphy, was fascinated by toads, and I remember one time him bringing 3 baby toads into the house.  They were perfectly unharmed.  This didn't phase me in the slightest as I really don't mind them, my husband on the other hand, was far less impressed.

This little guy didn't have a name when I made the calendar, but has since been named Stanley.

Some of Bailey's siblings have Instagram accounts (as does Bailey), so we are able to see how they are getting on, which is lovely.  They were all very alike at first but are quite different now.

Bailey is still growing and is such a bundle of fun, a real tonic.  I can't imagine life without him now.  This is him with my daughter's.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge #68

 Good morning 

Our new challenge starts today on CD Sunday Plus and this challenge is hosted by the lovely Margaret. 

Thanks to everyone who entered our last challenge, I now have the difficult task of choosing a top 3.

I've another page from my calendar to share this month, I hope I'm not boring you!!

This time features the gorgeous Bonnie, who was the pup most like Bailey when they were tiny.

The other image and backing papers were all from Joanna Sheen's Furry Friends cd-rom, all printed onto Lynda Chapman's fabriano paper. The calendar tab and lettering were from a Bree Merryn cd-rom. All cardstock used was from Creative Crafting World and the dies I used I've had a long time and can't remember where they're from!!

Bailey is growing at an alarming rate.  He can now get himself up and down the stairs and onto the couch.  Nowhere is safe!!

CD Sunday Plus Challenge #65 - Hosted by Carol

 Good morning and welcome.

A new challenge starts today at Cd Sunday Plus and we would love to have you join us.

I'm sharing another page from my calendar today and today we have the adorable Loki.

The photo is matted onto Woodstock cardstock from Creative Crafting World and the paper is from a Rachel Hale cd-rom from Joanna Sheen.

Everything on the opposite page, and the lettering, are from various Bree Merryn cd-rom's from both My Craft Studio and CCW. The black card is Lynda Chapman's famous black card.

Bailey is growing super fast and keeping us entertained. This week we had a day out to Llandudno. It's where my parents ashes are scattered so we visit when we can and leave flowers. It was very busy and he was a bit overwhelmed, so he had regular rides on my knee.

It was an eventful day. Emma had her ice-cream stolen by a seagull and when we got back to the car we had a flat tyre. As luck would have it, we were parked outside kwikfit, and even though they were closing up for the day, changed the tyre for us. Excellent service. 

Bailey slept all the way home.

Today I am sharing another page in the Thank You Calendar I made.  Today features the beautiful Mika.

 For the page with the photo I used Kraft card and Woodstock card from Lynda Chapman, printed a page from Joanna Sheen's furry friends cd-rom from the backing paper and die cut some little accessories.  The lettering was printed from a Bree Merryn cd-rom from Creative Crafting World.

On the opposite page, I used my Pollyanna Pickering Best of Breeds cd-rom for the image and backing paper.  The calendar tab was from the Bree Merryn cd-rom.  8 x 8 cards were used to create the calendar

Bailey has settled in even better than we hoped and is truly a little ray of sunshine.  He has well and truly captured my heart and reminds me of Murphy every day.
