Call A Guide Dog Arthur

 Good morning

When our dad died we asked for donations rather than flowers, the donations were for the Guide Dogs for the Blind.  Dad was a life-long dog lover and long term supported of Guide Dogs.  I remember organising a Jumble Sale in aid of Guide Dogs when I was in my teens!

Both my sister and I were hoping to name a Guide Dog after dad, but the donations we received were a long way short of the required donation and I wasn't in a good place at the time to consider further fundraising.

The idea has remained in my mind since.  I have recently done more crocheting than card making and have been asked a few times if I would consider making items to sell.  I have therefore decided to make items to sell to try and achieve this target.  I need to raise £2,500.

I have used a pattern downloaded from Stitchingcards.com, cut around the edges using deckle edged scissors and matted onto green card from PaperMill.

My card is made using downloaded papers and vignettes from Carnation Crafts along with the accompanying dies. This set is called Sunny and is part of the Summer Daze collection.  The sentiment die is a Paper Boutique die. I love gerbera's and am thrilled with how this turned out.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge #52 - Hosted by Margaret

Here is my card:

I used a downloaded pattern from Stitchingcards.com and red and gold card from my stash.  The design is stitched using gold metallic thread.  I cut around the edges of the mats using deckle edged scissors.

The pattern was a download from Stitchingcards.com.  Deep red card from Hunkydory along with gold card which I embossed using a star design embossing folder. The design was stitched onto Centura Pearl card.

I used Tumble Ted and Tizzy cd-rom from Creative Crafting World for the decoupage.  Kraft card from Creative Crafting World.  The dark green card is from Papermill. First Edition Alphabet dies for the wording and the sentiment is a Sue Wilson die.

I used dies and downloads from Carnation Crafts to make my card. The card base was created using one of the dies in the set and I used their 'elevate foam' behind the letters, numbers and decoupage layers.
