Happy Birthday

My card for today is one I have made for my nephews birthday.  I followed the theme over at Sentimental Sundays which is banners/pennants and also the bonus challenge of a sketch:

Image Jerry Kisses digi stamp from Pollycraft, coloured with Spectrum Noir pens.

Mat cut using Spellbinders reverse wonky rectangles die from Core'dinations card.

Sentiment banner is created with a spellbinders label die, sentiment is a peel off.

Bunting is created using a Nellie Snellen diamond die, folded in half and attached to bakers twine.

Backing paper has been in my stash for ages, inked round the edge with Antique Linen DI.

This is a card for my daughter to sent to one of her best friends who is a big cat lover.

Backing paper from Housemouse inserts cd-rom, printed onto satin finish paper.

Central paper embossed using a Darice Embossing folder and then trimmed.

Sentiment stamp from a WOW Stamp Set, as is the flourish, stamped in silver metallic ink.

Olympic Dad

My youngest daughter, Emma, thoroughly enjoyed all the Olympic coverage, so when it was time for her to make a Birthday card for her dad, she decided to make her card have an Olympic theme:

Emma came up with the idea and then drew and coloured the card.  Then we printed off the faces which she attached to the card along with the speech bubbles.  I think she did an excellent job.  She spent many hours getting it just right.

A Bear and a Sketch

I've used the fabulous Meadow Cottage Bears cd-rom from Crafters Companion to make this card for my niece's birthday next week.  I followed the current sketch over at Willow Sketchie Challenge.

Sentiment is a stamp from Lili of the Valley sat on a mat cut using a C'Art-us die.

Number 3 created using Metal Magic (a first for me) and then stamped using a Dimension Fourth number stamp.

My card for today features one of my favourite bears, Teddy Bo, here he is relaxing on a Sunday afternoon.

Backing papers and cards all from my stash along with the silver 'mesh', bakers twine and button.

I printed Teddy Bo onto Neenah cardstock and coloured him using Spectrum Noirs in colours to tie in with the backing papers.

The mat the image is sat on is cut using a Spellbinders Labels 5 die, and I cut a faux nestie from bronze pearlescent card.

The CD Sunday Challenge - Mainly Men

This is my second entry into this week's CD Sunday Challenge where the theme is 'Mainly Men'.  Here is my card:

The main image is from the decoupage section of Joanna Sheen's Thomas Kinkade cd-roms.  These really are fabulous cd's and the photograph doesn't do justice to the beautiful image.

I created an easel card using card from the PaperMill as I thought this would display the lovely image better.

The sentiment is a Lili Of The Valley stamp, sat on a Spellbinders Fleur De Lis die with some bakers twine added for extra interest.

I wanted to keep this card quite simple so as not to detract from the main image ( I really like this image, can you tell? lol)

This is a birthday card I made for my nephew.  It's a variation on the waterfall card I made a couple of weeks ago which the recipient loved.
