Welcome to my blog today.

My card for today was meant to be a quick card and finished up anything but!!!

I had such fun making this card.

The image is from Crafters Companion SWALK Winters Cheer range.  I coloured her with a combination of promarkers and coloursoft pencils.  My very first time using promarkers!  The mat she is sat on is cut with a Nellie Snellen die.  The backing papers are from the accompanying cd-rom, edged with gold embossing powder.  I stamped and coloured two of the flower baskets onto shrink plastic and added them to the bow as extra embellishments.  The poinsettias are Marianne dies, I added a little glitter to the centre of each.

Snow Is Softly Falling

Good Afternoon

My card for today is made using the Snowman papercrafting cd-rom from Crafters Companion:

This is the first time I have made a card where the whole front is acetate.  I printed one of the scenes from the cd-rom which I applied to a sheet of white card. I then attached the acetate to the white card and added a strip of mirror board, punched with a Martha Stewart punch, to hide the join.  The image on the front of the card is from the decoupage section of the cd.  The large snowflake is a spellbinders die and the sentiment is Lili of The Valley, embossed with silver detail ep.  I then added some pinflair snow dust to the front of the card.

Oh Christmas Tree

Hello!

I hope you've all had a lovely weekend.

My card for today is made using one of the decoupage images on Joanna Sheen's Faye Whittaker cd-rom:

For a bit of a change, I used one of my glitter girls embossing boards for this card.  I embossed both the red and gold layers and then layered them up.  The teeny little gems are midget gem frostings.  I printed the image onto matt photo paper and once I had completed the decoupage added some glamour dust to add that 'compulsory' Christmas sparkle.  The sentiment is Lili of the Valley, sat on a Memory Box die-cut.

A Christmas Shaker Card

Good Afternoon

My card for today is another using the fabulous Josephine Wall, Enchanted Dreams cd-rom from Joanna Sheen:

The main image was printed onto glossy photo paper and I made a frame using purple glitter card.  Some snowflakes punched from holographic card were added together with some Pinflair Ice Diamond to produce the shaker element.  The backing paper is from the same cd-rom.  The die cuts are both Memorybox dies, and the sentiment is Lili of the Valley, stamped in distress ink and then glazed with glossy accents.

The CD Sunday Challenge - Sunset

Good Afternoon

Back again with another card!  This is my entry for this weeks CD Sunday Challenge which this week has a theme of 'Sunset'.

I went straight to my Thomas Kinkade cd-rom from Joanna Sheen and chose this beautiful image 'Sunset at Riverbend Farm'.  I've used so many layers on the card, it's really quite heavy now it's finished!

I printed the image onto watercolour card and then divided it into three to produce a tryptych effect.  I also printed a backing paper from the Cloudy Skies section.  I used gold linen card and a lovely browny/orange card from Papermill for the matting and layering.  I chose three different ribbons to make a triple bow and added a little pearl to the end of each ribbon.

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

Good Morning

Welcome to my blog today.

I've another Christmas card to share with you today, and here it is:

The decoupage and sentiment on this card came in a goody bag I bought recently.  This is the first time I've bought a goody bag, but I really liked the look of the contents of this one.  The backing paper was also in the goody bag and is excellent quality.  I matted the Santa decoupage onto a frame made using a Spellbinders die.  I added the ribbon to hide the join and also added a buckle cut with a memorybox die so that it looks like Santa's belt.  The sentiment is sat on an ironworks die-cut and the pearls are from my stash.

An Enchanted Christmas

Good Afternoon

My card for today is made using the gorgeous Enchanted Dreams cd-rom from Joanna Sheen.

I'm afraid I've struggled with my photographs again today because of the lack of light, but hopefully you get the idea!

The main image is printed onto photo paper and then matted onto holographic silver card.  The backing paper is again printed from the cd-rom.  The holographic snowflake is a spellbinders die, and the lili of the valley sentiment is matted onto a Marianne Bauble cut from the same holographic card.  Some bakers twine to hold the bauble completes the card.

House Mouse & Friends

Good Afternoon

The new challenge over at House Mouse & Friends  is Thank You.  I needed to make a thank you card to send to some special friends so this fitted the challenge perfectly:

I'm sorry about the quality of the photo, the card is actually quite colourful in real life, but the light is so bad today, this was the best I could do.

I use a housemouse decoupage from Joanna Sheen.  The backing paper is from the Housemouse cd-rom, printed onto centura paper.  The frame is a wonky rectangle spellbinders die cut into some platinum pearlescent cardstock.  I added some gems to the frame.  The sentiment is lili of the valley, layered onto a memorybox die.  For the mini bouquet I made some flowersoft stems and also threaded some seed beads onto wire.  The bouquet wrap is made from angelhair paper.

Snuggly Teddy Bo

Hello

It's time for a new challenge over at Crafty Calendar Challenge and this time our challenge is Winter Wardrobe/Snuggly and warm.  I couldn't resist this image of Teddy Bo and he looks lovely and snug if a bit surprised!

I coloured my image with coloursoft pencils and decoupaged Teddy Bo and one of the ribbons. White flowersoft was added to the tops of the stockings. The silver mirror card behind Teddy Bo has been embossed with a holly pattern.  All the die-cuts are Spellbinders ironworks dies cut from White Glitter card.  The sentiment is Lili Of The Valley.  The backing paper is printed from a Popcorn cd-rom onto Crafters Companion Satin paper.

A Christmas Card

Good Afternoon

I was thrilled to bits last week to learn that I had come runner-up in the Crafters Companion Birthday competition.  I am now a gold member until December 2012.  How good is that?  Well it would have been rude not to put my membership to good use, so I bought myself the Winters Tale cardmaking kit.  Here is the first (of many) cards I have made using the kit.

I took one of the card blanks and cut it in half and then mounted it onto some pearlescent cardstock.  I used on e of the image stickers on the front of the card together with a text rub-on.  The snowflake border is cut from silver glitter paper.

This is the inside of the card:

Another text rub on was used and the tree was cut from the silver glitter paper and some gems addeds to complete the card.

Good Morning

My card for today is made using the Nostalgia cd-rom from Joanna Sheen.  I love this cd!

These are various images from the sports section.  I wanted to make a different style card and this is what I ended up with!

All the images are printed onto glossy photo paper and then matted onto gold linen cardstock.  The panel with the three smaller images on is left blank for the message.

Time To Have Fun

Good Afternoon

I hope you're having a good day.  Doesn't it go dark early now?

I had a lovely surprise this morning, I had an email from Janet at Pink Gem Designs to say that I had won the October prize draw.  My prize is my choice of 4 of their Funky Animal stamps, how great is that?

Co-incidentally, last night I printed off a Pink Gem digi stamp ready to make a card for the current Gem of a Challenge.  I've had such fun making up this card today and here it is:

I coloured him in using coloursoft pencils.  I then faffed around for ages looking a for a toning blue backing paper which I then decided to emboss with a snowflake design.  The corner punch is Martha Stewart.  I added flowersoft to his hat, coat and boots, sparkling snow glitter to the snowballs and Pinflairs Ice Diamond to the ground.  The tree is die cut from holographic card using a Memory box die, and gems added.  The sentiment is Lili of the Valley.
