CD Sunday Plus Challenge #166 - Hosted by Margaret

Hello and welcome

Can you believe it's the last day of August?  Time really does speed up the older you get!

Time for a new challenge over at CD Sunday Plus, this time Margaret is our host.  Thanks to everyone who joined us for our last challenge.

For this challenge I used the Janet Kruskamps Collection cd-rom by Joanna Sheen.  A little used cd of mine, and I don't know why because there are so many beautiful images on it.

The main image is decoupaged, matted onto pink and white cardstock, die cut using the tearsdrop & sweep dies from Carnation Crafts.  The sentiment is stamped.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge #165 - Hosted by Me

 It's time for a new challenge over at CD Sunday Plus and this time I am hosting.  I used Getting Together Charisma and diez by Carnation Crafts to create this card for my Godson's birthday.

It took a lot of time to cut out all the different items and put the card together, but I was very pleased with the results.

Here we are in August and time for a new challenge over at CD Sunday Plus 

August is a busy month for birthdays for me, so I'm going to be kept busy making lots of cards!  

Here is my card for this challenge:

My godson has recently bought his first home.  This is the card I have made for him using my favourite technique of decoupage, and artwork printed from Tom Mielko cd-rom by Joanna Sheen.  The stamp is by Phill Martin and the border is a Spellbinders die.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge #163 - Hosted by Pamela

 Hello

It's hard to believe it's time for our next challenge over at CD Sunday Plus.  The year is certainly flying by and I am now keeping busy planning for the annual Guide Dogs Christmas Fair!!

For my card today I had a lot of fun re-visiting a technique I hadn't used in a long time - iris-folding!  I had such fun making this card!

I had planned for the mats to be the opposite way round, i.e. the outline cut into the solid card, but I forgot that I was cutting the design out on the reverse!!!  Good job I was using double-sided card or I'd have been even more annoyed!!

The papers I used for the strips were all printed from Joanna Sheen's Furry Friends cd-rom (one of my most used cd-roms!).  I then carefully cut the papers into the same sized strips,  For the iris in the centre I used gold glitter card.

I really enjoyed making this and really need to brush up on my Scan N Cut skills so I don't have to hand-cut the outline!

This card was made for a friend who has two minature daschund's.  I also made her a cushion as a gift:

 

This was a challenge too and I doubt I'll be making another one!

This is a birthday card made for a friend using decoupage and backing paper from Happy Hoppers cd-rom by Joanna Sheen 

I used yellow pearlescent cards for my layers, die cutting using dies from Creative Crafting World. 

I would like to enter my card in the House-mouse & friends Monday Challenge - the sun is out/use bright colours.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge #162 - Hosted by Jocelyn

 Today a new challenge starts at CD Sunday Plus.  Jocelyn is our host.

I created a decoupage picture using imagery from The World of Beatrix Potter cd-rom by Crafters Companion and a die-cut sentiment using Crafters companion dies.  I then put the picture in a deep box frame.

 Good Morning

It's time for a new challenge over at CD Sunday Plus and Jocelyn is our host for this challenge.

When this challenge goes live I will be in New York.  My daughter is taking me on my dream holiday!  I'm very excited about going.  I'll be catching up with all your lovely creations on my return.

Here is my card for this challenge:

I created the decoupage using artwork from Crafters' Companion World of Beatrix Potter cd rom.  The backing card is Hunkydory and the sentiment computer generated.  I used dies from Paper Boutique to cut my layers.

This card is for a friend who has just had a baby.  I also crocheted a blanket as a gift.

It's time for a new challenge at CD Sunday Plus and we are looking forward to seeing all your entries.

It was lovely to have so many wonderful entries into our last challenge.

Our neighbours recently got married after being together for 44 years!  This is the card I made for them:

I used Hunkydory cardstock, Sue Wilson dies for the mats and layers and Charisma and dies from the Tattered Lace Portmanteau Collection for the flowers.

I wasn't well enough to attend the wedding on the day sadly, but am told they had a wonderful day.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge #159 - Hosted by Me

Good morning

Already it's time for a new challenge over at CD Sunday Plus.  I hope you've all been enjoying the lovely weather and have managed to get out in the sunshine.

This challenge, I'm sharing a card I've made for a friends birthday, she has 2 daughters and a son so I thought this image very fitting:

I used an image from my Faye Whittaker cd-rom from Joanna Sheen which I made into decoupage.  I used an embossing folder that I've had in my stash for a very long time, and made the little shells using paper clay and a mould from Katy Sue designs.

The sentiment I chose is a Phill Martin Sentiment, stamped using grey Versamark Ink.

Hello and welcome

Today is the start of a new challenge over at CD Sunday Plus and Meg is our host.

Here is my card;

For my card is used this stunning Jaguar image from Pollyanna Pickering World Wildlife dvd-rom by Creative Crafting World.  The image is a twisted pyramage and all the elements are printed from the dvd-rom.  I simply added Lynda Chapman's black card for all the mats.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge #157 - Hosted by Pamela

Good morning and welcome to my blog.

I hope you've had a lovely Easter and managed not to over-indulge on the chocolate.  We had a lovely time with family and the sun even shone for us!

It's hard to believe that it's time for our next challenge already and we're almost at the end of April!  I must say though, I'm very glad of the warmer weather and longer daylight hours!

For my card today I revisited one of my many hardly used cd-rom's.  It's artwork by the fabulous Pollyanna Pickering from A Winter's Tale cd-rom by Creative Crafting World

I recently discovered that you can change pdf files into jpegs using microsoft!  Happy days!  So I changed the image into a jpeg, took it into My Craft Studio and made it into decoupage.  Now unfortunately, you can't really see the dimension in the photo, but in real life the robin and other layers really stand out!

It's such a gorgeous image I didn't feel I needed to add much else, so just added the gems to the corners and left it there.

I must say, I find My Craft Studio quite challenging!  If anyone can recommend any other graphics programme that are more 'user friendly' (and good for someone who struggles with technology!), I'd be very grateful.

House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge

 Here is my second entry into the current House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge which is Anything Goes with the option of Spring/Easter:

I took the image from Joanna Sheen's House-Mouse cd-rom and turned it into decoupage, then matted it onto some silver card.  I printed the accompanying backing paper from the cd-rom.

I then quilled the 3 ducks using strips of the appropriately coloured paper and added a bead for each of their eyes.

I decided against putting a sentiment on the front of the card as thought it could be used for a number of different occasions.  This was such a fun card to make!
