Brown card from PaperMill used for matting and layering.

Decorative border cut using a Die'sire die from Crafter's Companion.

Sentiment is a WOW stamp, embossed with gold detail embossing powder.

Leafy flourish cut with a Cheery Lynn die, flowers are Memorybox dies with a gem in the centre.

On Your Retirement

The card I have to share with you today is one I have made to celebrate a retirement:

Image from Joanna Sheen's Nostalgia cd-rom printed onto watercolour card.

Backing paper from same cd-rom printed onto Satin paper.

Core'dinations card is used for all the matting and layering.

Spellbinders decorative labels 8 has been used to cut the mat that the image is sat on.  

The flowers are Nellie Snellen punch and emboss punches with buttons from my stash in the centres.

The sentiment is Lili Of The Valley stamped in Faded Jeans Distress Ink.

The sentiment mat is Spellbinders Persian Motifs

The ribbons and charm are from my stash.

My Little Mermaid

I couldn't resist this gorgeous new stamp from Lili of the Valley.  I've always been fascinated by seahorses, such unusual creatures.  My card follows the sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches:

A5 card blank

Image stamped in versafine and colour with a mixture of Cosmic Shimmer drawing inks and coloursoft pencils, blended with baby oil.

To get the 'water effect' around the image I used Tumbled glass and Faded jeans distress inks, applied using bubble wrap.

Shell backing paper from stash and core'dinations card embossed with D'vine Swirls.  Ribbon from Joanna Sheen ruffled across the join in the backing papers.

Marianne die used to display the image (the edges looked a bit like scales!)

I die-cut some scalloped circles and attached them to a length of bakers twine.  I added a seahorse charm to the centre circle, and shells to the other 4.

Today I have a draw calendar to share with you:

Decoupaged image printed from Forever Friends cd-rom.  Base image cut with a Crafts Too die to produce the lovely shape.

Balloon design also from cd-rom, printed onto white card.  Co-ordinating card from Papermill.

Martha Stewart border stars punch used.

Calendar tab, eyelets, button and twine all from my stash.

Inside the drawer there is a pencil and a post-it note pad.

Cold and Frosty

I've another Christmas card to share with you today, this time using the Winter scene-it stamps from Hobbyart:

6 x 6 card blank
Images stamped onto watercolour card in Versafine ink and coloured with Aquacrayons.  Pinflair Snow dust added for texture.  Embossed around the edges using Vanilla ice embossing powder.
Spellbinders Labels 27 die used to create mat.
Backing papers are all from Swalk Winter Cheer cd-rom, printed onto satin printer papers.  I inked around the edges using Faded Jeans distress ink, my splodgeaway mat and my ink blending tool.
Embossed panel made from Centura Card, embossed with an embossing folder that came with a magazine, and inked using Faded Jeans distress ink.
The sentiment is a peel off and the silver snowflakes are die-cut using a Cheery Lynn die.

Willow Sketchie Challenge

The challenge for this week over at Willow Sketchie Challenge is a sketch with the optional theme of using your favourite colouring medium.  I have gone with both and here is my card:

My favourite colouring medium is coloursoft pencils which I blend with baby oil.

My card for today uses the lovely Strawberry Kisses range from Crafter's Companion.

6 x 6 card blank

Image stamped onto Neenah card and coloured using Spectrum Noirs.  I added glossy accents to the cocktail glass, and then some glitter for extra sparkle.  I paper-pieced the umbrella using one of the backing papers.

The backing papers are printed from the accompanying cd-rom onto Satin Paper.  Core'dinations card and silver matt card were used for the matting and layering.

The flowers were die cut from the same backing paper using Memorybox dies and gems from my stash were added to the centres.  The leafy flourishes were cut using a Joy die.  The clouds are cut using a Memorybox die.

Today's card is the one I made to send to my husband for our Wedding Anniversary.  It was made using papers and images from the Docrafts Country Companions cd-roms.

Image printed onto super smooth decoupage paper.

Backing papers printed onto Crafters' Companion satin paper.

Red card from PaperMill used for matting.

I rounded the corners of the pyrimage with an x-cut corner rounder punch.

Martha Stewart deep edge punch used to create the heart border.

Golden Wedding

Hello

I hope your weekend is off to a good start.

I'd like to share a golden wedding card with you today that was a special order from a friend:

Card created using Glitter Girls 'Once Upon A Time' Embossing board

Centura Pearl Ivory card, Old gold pearlescent card and gold holographic card used for the various layers.

An embossing folder was used for the top layers.

Marianne butterfly die used to create butterfly from Pearlescent gold card and glittered vellum.  Three gold gems added to body to complete.

Spellbidners floral oval die used to create layer for wording, which was computer generated and printed in gold.

Two different ribbons were added to centre on the book, together with various embellishments from my stash.  The number 50 was die-cut using a Memorybox die.

Deco Art glitter was added to the corners of the book using double sided adhesive sheets.

I made a box for  the card using the same card stock:

The hearts and swans were made using Nellie Snellen dies.
